SBI or State Bank of India conducts the national level recruitment test with an eye to appointing probationary officers. State Bank of India invites applications from eligible citizens of India for offering an appointment as POs or probationary officers. Candidates who get selected can be posted anywhere within India. Candidates who are willing to join SBI or State Bank of India as probationary officer need to register online for the recruitment procedure. The examination is conducted in two stages- the preliminary and the main. Candidates who will be qualifying in the preliminary examination will be notified for appearing in the main examination. Candidates who will be qualified in the main examination will be called for group exercises and interview.

Candidates who are willing to qualify in the SBI PO examination need to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria are considered to be an integral part of the examination. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility norms may be disqualified at the later off stage. Hence, it is a must to qualify these criteria for appearing in this examination.

Candidates who aspire to join State Bank of India need to fill the application form online. The application form can be availed in the official website of the authority. Questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning Ability in the preliminary examination of SBI PO. 30 marks are allotted for English whereas 35 marks are allotted for Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The main question paper for SBI PO comprises of 200 multiple choice questions. There are 45 questions from reasoning and computer aptitude, 40 questions from banking awareness and 35 questions from English language and Data Analysis and Interpretation. If you are willing to qualify in SBI PO examination, you need to apply before the last date. Candidates are not allowed to apply more than once.

SBI PO Recruitment Exam Date

Admit card will be available for preliminary examination of SBI PO from 15th April onwards. The preliminary examination will be conducted on 29th, 30th April 2018, and 6th, 7th May 2018. The results of the preliminary examination will be announced on 17th May 2017.

The main Examination of SBI PO will be conducted online on 4th June 2017. The results for the main examination will be declared on 19th June 2017. Group exercises and interview will be held on 5th August 2018.

SBI PO Recruitment Eligibility criteria

State Bank of India has set some eligibility norms for appearing in SBI PO examination. It is a prerequisite to fulfilling these eligibility norms for procuring jobs as SBI probationary officer. It is essential for the candidate to attain an age of 21 years for appearing in SBI PO, whereas candidate of more than 30 years cannot attend this examination.

Relaxation of age is conferred to students of reserved categories. Candidates who have completed graduation from a recognized university in any discipline or equivalent have the eligibility for appearing in the examination. Candidates who are going to apply for the examination have the eligibility for appearing in the examination.

SBI PO Recruitment Application Form & fees

Applicants who are willing to appear for SBI PO examination need to submit the application form online. The application form can be downloaded from the official website. Candidates need to provide personal details such as name, educational qualification, email ID, contact number and other necessary details while filling the application form online.

Candidates require uploading photograph and signature during the procedure. General category students, an application fee of Rs. 600 whereas schedule caste, schedule tribe, and physically handicapped students need to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. The registration fees can be paid via online mode with the use of debit card, credit card or internet banking.

SBI PO Recruitment Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The preliminary test paper will comprise of multiple choice questions. 100 marks are allotted for the preliminary examination. The entrance test will be conducted online. The examination will have 3 sections, viz Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Reasoning Ability.

Time duration of 1 hour is allotted for completing this preliminary question paper. The question paper for the main examination comprises of both objectives as well as the descriptive type of questions. 250 marks are allotted for this examination.

The examination will comprise of 4 sections such as Data Analysis and Interpretation, Computer and Reasoning Aptitude, General Economics and Banking Awareness, English Language, etc. There is time allotment of 3 hours for completing the question paper. For every wrong answer, 1/4 marks will be deducted. This, however, holds true only for multiple choice questions. Candidates who have qualified the main examination will be notified for attending group discussion and interview process.

SBI PO Recruitment Admit Card

Admit card is considered to be an integral part of SBI PO Examination. Candidates who have submitted the application form successfully will be issued admit card. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the authority.

Three admit cards will be issued, one for preliminary examination, another for the main examination whereas the other one for attending the interview process. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card.

SBI PO Recruitment Results & Score Card

State Bank of India announces results on the official website. SBI declares three results, one for the preliminary test, one for the main examination and the other for group discussion and personal interview.

The results for preliminary examination can be availed from 17th May 2018. The results for the main examination will be announced on 19th June 2018. After group discussion and interview, final results will be declared on 5th August 2018.
