NIMCET 2024 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

The important dates for the NIMCET 2024 exam are given below:-

The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria given below before filling the application form:-

• The candidates must have 60% or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (General & OBC candidates) in 3 years full-time B. Sc/B. Sc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT or related course.
• Reserved category candidates, including SC/ST/PwD, have to secure 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scare
• Candidates having B. Tech/BE or equivalent degree holders from recognized university are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the exam but they need to have a valid proof.
• Candidates appearing in B. Sc/B. Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT of 3 years full-time from Open universities are also eligible, provided their course is approved by UGC/AICTE & DEC of Govt. of India.
• The percentile of marks in qualifying degree will be calculated on the basis of scores of all subjects studied including language/ optional & additional subjects if they have any.
• The candidate must be citizen of India.

• The application forms will be available online from the 2nd week of February, 2024 in the official portal http://www.nita.ac.in
• The applicants have to register themselves in the website and create a login ID to fill the form, candidates are required to submit the application form before the last date, incase if it is been received late, then applications will be directly be rejected.
• While filling the online form the candidates must attach their scanned copy of recent passport size photograph and scanned copy of the signature.

The Application fee:

• Gen/OBC Candidates: -  Rs.1800
• SC/ST Candidates: -         Rs.900

• The examination will be for duration of two and a half hours and consists of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question.
•  Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.
• The candidates have to mark the responses in the OMR sheets supplied at the time of examination. Candidates have to bring their own HB pencil, eraser and ball point pen.
• Calculators, mobile phones or any other materials will not be allowed in the examination hall.

The candidates are supposed to download their admit card online, the card will not be sent through post or email. The admit card will be available from the first week of May, 2024 till the late week of May 2024 .

In case your NIMCET Admit Card 2024 is not available for downloading, then the candidates must send an e-mail before the specified date giving details of the candidate’s application number and proof for remittance of fee and telephone enquiries will not be entertained. The exam controller will issue a duplicate admit card, without admit card the candidates will not be allowed in the examination hall.

The result will be available in the official website from the second week of June, 2024 in the PDF format, candidates can download their result by entering their Hall ticket ID number. The rank list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam. A common cutoff list will be prepared by the NIMCET 2024 exam body for all the participating NIT’s.

Choice filling and locking:

The NIMCET rank will be published by June, 2024 ; candidates are required to fill the choices of institutes as per their preference. All the candidates are required to lock their choices before 5:00 PM  and after 5:00 PM choices will be locked automatically. Candidates note down no changes will be allowed after locking.

Online Seat Allotment and personally reporting:

The seat allotment will be made on the basis of their choices and marks scored by the students in the entrance exam. Seat allotment will be done in three rounds. Candidates have to report to the allotted institute on the specified dates.

Candidates are required to select the correct examination center while filling the application form, once the center is being allotted then it will not be changed under any circumstances.
