In 1979, the Bangalore Institute of Technology was established. AICTE, NBA, and UGC have approved BIT for its academic functioning. BIT is a private institute that is affiliated with the VTU, Belgaum. Various committees rank BIT for its academic and overall performance as an institution. BIT has secured 251 ranks by NIRF for its overall academic performance. In addition, BIT was ranked 51 by The WEEK magazine 2020 for its B-Tech. Placement assistance is exceptional; the highest package offered in BIT Bangalore is 13.5 LPA.  BIT Bangalore offers admission to the B Tech, MBA, MCA, and M Tech.

  • To apply for B Tech admission in BIT Bangalore, candidates must clear KCET, COMEDK Entrance Test with a valid score equivalent to the BIT Bangalore B Tech Cut off conditions.
  • B Tech at BIT is available in nine different disciplines. The annual intake is 60 seats per branch. At the same time, the cut-off criteria vary for each different specialization.
  • For admission to the MBA in BIT Bangalore, candidates must undertake either KMAT or PGCET Entrance Test.
  • They need to perform well in the entrance test and score according to the MBA cut-off defined by BIT Bangalore.  Cut-off ranks vary for KMAT and PGCET.
  • The mode of the application process is offline. Students willing to apply for BIT Bangalore Admission have to visit the college website, take a printout of the BIT application form, fill it and submit it along with a DD of 800/- as application fees for BIT.

  • BIT accepts the valid score of KCET to offer B Tech admission. Once the KCET results are out, the admission authority will release the KCET cut-off list. For each B Tech branch, the cut-off rank varies.
  • All the applicants who are Karnataka state residents will have to take up KCET as the common entrance exam for B-Tech admissions.
