Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is now accepting applications for admission to their B.Tech programs based on the results of JEE Main 2026. If you have already passed JEE Main, you will be eligible to apply for admission. Thus, Candidates are not required to appear for the Amrita University Entrance Exam (AEEE 2026). Instead, they can get admission through JEE Main 2026.

Attentive Candidates who satisfy the eligibility requirements can apply for Amrita University B Tech Admission 2026, through CSAP (Centralized Seat Allotment Process). Applications can be submitted online before the last date.

This year, the criteria for eligibility at the university have changed. In previous years, they required a minimum of 60% from the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from the student's Class 12 examination. However, now they have reduced this figure to 55%. All students will still be required to have achieve a minimum of 50% individual marks in each of the three subjects.

Students will have the ability to apply to any of the eight campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham – Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Haridwar or Nagercoil. During the Amrita CSAP Counselling, candidates can choose the desired campus and branch.

How to Apply for Amrita B.Tech Admission 2026

In order to apply for B.Tech Admission 2026 through JEE Main, applicants need to complete the Amrita University Online application form application online. The steps involved in registering are outlined below.

Step 1: Access the University website

Go to Amrita's main webpage and navigate to B. Tech admission portal.

Step 2: Register Online

You will need an email address and a mobile number to sign up as a new account. Once registered you will be sent your new Account Information to the e-mail and mobile number you used during registration.

Step 3: Fill out the application form

Complete the form by providing your personal information, education details, and other pertinent information accurately.

Step 4: Fill in Entrance Exam Scores

While completing their applications, candidates must fill in their JEE Main 2026.

Step 5: Upload Documents

Candidates need to upload the required supporting documentation, including photos & signature, Class 10th & 12th Marks Sheets, and other documents as necessary.

Step 6: Payment of Application Fee

Pay the Amrita University application fees 2026 via online mode. You must submit your application form after your payment has been successfully received. It is strongly recommended that you retain a copy of your submitted application for your records.

Scholarship and Admission Categories

Amrita University has announced that there are two types of admission categories available (Scholarship and Non-Scholarship). The majority of seats will be available for Scholarship applicants – approximately 70%. Whereas the seat allotment is strictly on the basis of the candidate’s performance in AEEE 2026 and JEE Main 2026.

Amrita University doesn’t have management quota or direct admission process. All admission process done through Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP).

Amrita University Counselling Process 2026

After the conclusion of application process, the actual selection/counselling process for admission is as follows:

Shortlisting of candidates will occur based upon JEE Main percentile/rank. Centralized Seat Allocation Process 2026 (CSAP) will be used to allocate all seats out. The following will be considered when selecting candidates for placement:

  • JEE Main Score
  • Preference for course/campus
  • Availability of seats

Note: The entire counselling process will be conducted via online mode. Thus, candidates are not required to visit campus.
