Army Welfare Education Society Combined Written Admission Test is commonly said as AWES CWAT 2018. AWES is the conducting authority of CWAT. This exam is conducted every year by Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS). AWES CWAT 2018 is conducted to offer admission into various undergraduate dental or science courses.

Candidates can get admission in BDS, B. Sc Nursing courses in Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad, Army College of Nursing(ACN),Jalandhar and Army Institute of Nursing(AIN),Guwahati through this exam.

CWAT Eligibility criteria

  • It is compulsion that the candidate should be a child of army person who are serving or ex-service man of army.
  • Candidates applying for BDS course have to pass HSE or equivalent exam from any recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and English as Mandatory subjects and one optional subject from Mathematics or Biology.
  • Applicants should pass with 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates applying for B. Sc course have to pass 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized university having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as major subjects

 

CWAT Application Form & fees

The application form for AWES CWAT Exam 2018 will be available on the official site from the month of January 2018. Application forms will be available at the specified centres where candidates can purchase the application form. Prospectus and application are available at the ACDS/Comd HQ (AWES)/ Army HQ (AWES), New Delhi.  Cost of application for ACDS – Rs750/- (By Hand through DD), Rs800/- (By Registered Post). Application can also be downloaded from college website; in which case the filled up application form has to be accompanied by draft for Rs750/-

 

CWAT Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The question paper will have a total of 100 multiple choice type questions or better known as objective questions.
The questions will be distributed as per the subjects in the following manner :
-Zoology (Multiple Choice Question 25 Marks)
-Botany (Multiple Choice Question 25 Marks)
-Physics (Multiple Choice Question 25 Marks)
-Chemistry (Multiple Choice Question 25 Marks)
All of the answers will be marked on the OMR sheet using Black/Blue Ball point pen/HB Pencil. OMR sheets without proper roll numbers, with over writing, cuttings and poorly erased pencil marks are rejected by the computing system.

Syllabus for CWAT 2018:
The general format or the syllabus for CWAT exam 2018 will be the syllabus for class 11 and 12 under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the State Education Board/University.

CWAT Admit Card

The Admit Card for the entrance test will be sent to the eligible candidates by Registered Post at the address given by them on the application form.  Candidate shall affix adequate postage on the envelope of admit card and write their address clearly.  All candidates should normally receive the Admit Card by 25 Apr 2018. 

If any candidate fails to receive the Admit Card by the above date he/she should enquire from the office of ACDS Secunderabad by giving application No, full name, address and place of examination as mentioned in the application form. CWAT Results & Score Card

Every correct answer will fetch one mark each and every incorrect response indicated will lead to deduction of 1/4 marks i.e. 0.25 marks.
However, if a question is left unmarked in the OMR sheet, there will be no negative marking for the same.

Since the entire process of the evaluation is done through Optical Readers/Scanners, candidates are advised to be very careful while filling up their OMR Sheet.

CWAT Counselling & Admission

ACDS will send the results of first 600 successful candidates to all Command Headquarters and to the Headquarters conducting admission test.  Candidates are advised to get in touch with appropriate Headquarters on 01 Jun 2017 for results.  Successful candidates will also be intimated by post.
