St. Johns Medical College came into existence by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) in 1963, located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college aims at providing excellent healthcare facilities to serve the poor in the city. St. Johns College is one among the Top 10 medical colleges in India. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and approved by MCI. NAAC accredits SJMC with an "A" Grade. In terms of facilities & education, SJMC is exceptional. SJMC has 1350 beds for all the surgical and medical departments with top general and multi-speciality rooms. St. Johns College is well known for its flagship course, MBBS.

  • St. John's Medical College has a unique teaching method, including Didactic Lectures, Demonstrations, Group Discussions, Practical, Tutorials, Seminars etc.
  • In addition to the MBBS course, SJMC offers B. Sc, MD, MS, M. Ch, M. Sc courses.
  • Candidates willing to apply for MBA admission in St. Johns Medical College must clear NEET Entrance Test with a good score that must be identical to the St Johns college MBBS cut off requirement.
  • After the completion of MBBS final year, college offers compulsory internships for students. The stipend ranges between INR 6,000 to INR 7000.
  • Whereas candidates applying for BSc Nursing admission in St. Johns College must satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the Institute. Additionally, candidates are required to undertake the Institute level entrance exam.

St. Johns Medical College MBBS Admission

SJMC offers an MBBS course for four and a half years with a one-year compulsory internship in medicine, obstetrics, community health, surgery, child health etc. The MBBS courses are offered as per the rules seat by the Medical Council of India. The students seeking admission for MBBS in St. Johns College must obtain qualifying marks in the NEET-UG entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency. MBBS admission will be based on marks scored in the entrance exam and counselling process.

  • The MBBS course is offered at the undergraduate level for 4 and a half years. 
  • St. Johns Medical College reservation will be 80% of the seats are allotted for general merit candidates, 15% seats will be provided for NRI, and 5% seats are reserved for institutional preference quota.
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCMB subjects are eligible to enrol in an MBBS degree at SJMC.
  • MBBS Selection Criteria at SJMC depends on NEET UG rank followed by State level counselling.
  • 80% govt seats will be filled through state-level NEET counselling based on NEET Merit rank.
  • The candidates must qualify the St. Johns College NEET Cut off criteria. Then, candidates will be eligible for securing admission seats through the counselling process.

MBBS NEET UG Counselling

  • The counselling process to the MBBS of St. Johns Medical College will be conducted online by KEA, and students will have to register on their official website. 
  • Candidates will have to log in and register on the official website of KEA official website. 
  • The applicants will have to enter the NEET rank, roll number and application form number during the registration.

B.Sc. Nursing is a UG program for 4 years. The basic need is to have 40% in the 10th and 12th board exams in the science stream with PCB subjects. The applications can be submitted online by visiting the college website.
