St. John's Medical College, founded in 1963, is one of India's top ten medical schools. The college has been administrated by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India and received approval from MCI. In NIRF 2020 Rankings, St. Johns College ranked 14th in the nation. MBBS Course is the flagship course of St. Johns Medical College. NEET-UG scores are used to determine MBBS admission, followed by KEA counselling rounds.

St. John's Medical College offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Super Specialty Medical Courses and Diploma Courses such as Para-Medical and Nursing Courses. In addition, it offers admission to the PhD and Fellowship courses in medical streams. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore, Karnataka, has recognised all courses.

St. Johns Medical College MBBS Admission

  • Students who have completed 10+2 in a science stream, including biology or biotechnology, and Physics and Chemistry, with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for St Johns MBBS Course. (in the case of SC/ST students, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC students)
  • Admission to MBBS in STJMC will be given based on the candidate's performance in the NEET-UG for Undergraduates, followed by a round of Counselling.
  • After passing the NEET, candidates must apply for Counselling. Karnataka State Authority will administrate the Counselling. (KEA)
  • Non-resident Indians and foreign citizens are given 15% of the seats at STJMC every year. Candidates must present a document such as a passport, work permit, or school certificate to demonstrate their NRI/ Foreign National Status.

Karnataka NEET Counselling Process

  • The final seat allocation in St. Johns College will be done through KEA Counselling. 
  • To secure MBBS seats, one must satisfy the St. Johns College NEET Cut off requirements. 
  • Those candidates who reach the cut off norms will secure seats during the counselling/seat allotment process.
  • Prior to that, candidates must choose St. Johns College as their preference in the option entry form.
  • By considering the NEET Cut off rank/Merit rank, Seat availability and choice of preferences, the seat will be assigned to the eligible students.
  • All applicants must submit an affidavit during the KEA Document Verification.
  • For seat reservation, applicants must also submit the supplementary documentation required by the institute to support caste/ religion.
  • Candidates must also complete the registration form on the institute's website to be kept informed of any future admission-related changes.

St John Medical College BSc/BPT Admission

  • In addition to the MBBS degree, SJMC offers admission to the BSc and BPT at the UG level in allied health science streams.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the 10+2 science stream with a minimum of 50 percentage can apply for BSc or BPT admission at SJMC.
  • In addition, candidates must attend the St. Johns College Entrance Test. The exam will be held in offline mode. The exam duration is 1 hour, and the paper consists of MCQ type of questions.
  • After qualifying in the entrance test, they need to attend the personal interview round.
  • The mode of the St John College application process is online. Candidates can visit the college's official website to fill the application form.
  • The St Johns College application fees for BSc cost INR 700 and INR 1000 for BPT.

St. John Medical College PG Admission

  • St. John's Medical College provides 22 specialities in its MD and MS programs.
  • MD/MS Admission at St John Medical College will be based on the NEET PG Entrance Test followed by Counselling.
  • An MBBS degree is the most fundamental requirement for admission to the MD and MS programs. Along with a one-year mandatory internship.
  • Following the announcement of NEET PG Results, candidates must register for KEA Counselling. Through counselling sessions, seat allotment take place.
