KIMS Bangalore provides an MBBS course as part of its undergraduate program and MD, MS, postgraduate program and Diploma programs in various disciplines. The Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) was founded in Bangalore, Karnataka, in 1980. KIMS has been allied with Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences in Bangalore. The "Kempegowda Medical Hospital" is affiliated with KIMS. It first opened its doors in 1990.

Short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, child health, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, and many specialities are included in the 12-month internship. All of this follows the Medical Council of India's guidelines.

Admission to the MBBS program is determined by the candidate's performance in the NEET-UG exam held by NTA.

KIMS Bangalore MBBS Admission

KIMS Bangalore offers a four-and-a-half-year MBBS program with a one-year mandatory rotating internship. Admission to the KIMS MBBS program is determined by the candidate's performance in the NEET-UG exam held by NTA. Besides, it also accepts the KCET & COMEDK Entrance Test's valid score. Non-Karnataka applicants are eligible to apply through COMEDK Scores.

  • A candidate must have completed PUC/ 10+2/ with a minimum of 50%  in aggregate to be eligible for MBBS at KIMS. In addition, Candidates must be 17 years old on or before December 31 to apply.
  • Candidates who fall into the SC/ ST/ OBC and other minor categories are given a 10% reduction in their total score.
  • KIMS accepts 150 students for the MBBS course each year, with 40% being State Quota and 40% being KIMS Management Quota. The NRI quota is 15%, whereas the OTH quota is 5%.
  • The final seat allocation in KIMS Bangalore will be done through NEET Karnataka State Level counselling administrated by Karnataka Government/KEA.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the entrance tests must register for NEET Counselling based on their exam results.
  • All seats for government, central, private, and deemed universities will be offered through counselling based on eligibility scores/ ranks, college preferences, and available seats.
  • Furthermore, Aspirants must meet the KIMS Bangalore MBBS Cut off standards to secure seats via counselling.
