Dr. T.Thimmaiah Institute Of Technology

The T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, formerly known as GVIT - Golden Valley Institute of Technology, was founded in 1986 and is headquartered at Kolar, Karnataka. It offers engineering courses, both undergraduate and post-graduate. It is affiliated with the Technological University of Visvesvaraya (VTU) and approved by the Council of Technical Education of all India (AICTE), New Delhi. A green and lush campus stretches over 33,000 square meters of land and is equipped with beautiful infrastructure.

• It includes several classrooms, well-equipped department laboratories, a dormitory, an amphitheater, a digital library, a field for sports like football, a cricket ground, a badminton court, and a fully equipped gym, and 4 blocks of hostels for girls, boys, and teachers.
• On-campus, shelters are provided in quiet and tranquil surroundings providing a natural environment conducive for aspirants to study. Since all the shelters are located on campus, students can also use the facilities such as the library, the lab, and the Internet after the class. Indoor games facilities are provided, such as billiards, shuttle, and table tennis. These facilities are also available in hostels.

The school has a cricket field at a national level, an 25 acres 18 hole golf course, a tennis court, soccer, basketball, and volleyball courts. The institute library was founded in 1986 with 500 books. Today, the library has more than 34,000 books covering all engineering & reference works, such as the encyclopedia, the manual, the dictionaries, and the data books.
