AIMCET - All India MCA Common Entrance Test

AIMCET 2018 is popularly known as All India MCA common entrance test. It is one of the important and renowned entrance tests in India. This is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee under MHRD- Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.  This examination is conducted every year for the students interested to seek admission for the course MCA (Master of Computer Application at IIT.

The interested candidates can get admission in the best colleges across India by appearing in this entrance exam. This is a National level entrance test. Every year the exam is conducted by the IIT to provide admission to the deserving candidates in the top most colleges across the country for the course MCA.

AIMCET Eligibility criteria

AIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria have been mentioned below. The interested candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before proceeding for the registration process. The following are the few important criteria’s for the entrance test:

  • The candidates should have the subject Mathematics compulsory in class 12th or Graduation level.
  • The candidates should also have a graduation degree from a recognized university with the combination of Computer, Math, Physics and chemistry.
  • The applicants who are appearing for their final year of exams are also eligible to apply for the exam, but they need to submit all the required documents as per the given date by the exam authority.

AIMCET Application Form & fees

AIMCET 2018  registration will start from the month of April 2018 . The application form will be available both online and offline mode.
For the candidates who are interested to apply online are required to visit the official website (http://www.iitr.ac.in)
The candidates need to fill the application form correctly and with all the proper details.

For the offline process the candidates need to collect the application form from the administrative office by doing the payment of the cash.
Application form Fee:

  • The general category candidate fee: Rs.1300/-
  • The Reserved category (SC/ST) Candidate fee: Rs.650/-

AIMCET Syllabus & Exam Pattern

  • AIMCET 2018 question paper will consist of objective type MCA pattern questions.
  • The question paper will have total 4 sections such as Logical reasoning, Mathematics, Computer Awareness and analytical ability.
  • The candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer and there is negative marking also, for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. For any untried answer no marks will be given.
  • The total duration will be of 3 hours for 200 questions.

AIMCET Admit Card

AIMCET 2018 admit card will be from the month of May 2018  online on the official website. The below mentioned are the few steps involved to get the admit card online:

  • The candidates need to visit the official website.
  • Click on the exam section
  • Then choose the button AIMCET 2018 admit card.
  • The required details to be filled and the candidates need to submit the same.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen, the candidates are advised to download the same and keep for future use.

AIMCET Results & Score Card

AIMCET 2018 result will be announced in the month of June last week or July first week 2018 (Tentative).

AIMCET Counselling & Admission

AIMCET 2018 admission will be based on the AIMCET entrance test score and the performance of the applicants. Accordingly the merit list will be prepared and the shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection procedure.
