Mar 18, 2021: PESSAT 2021 Application process is ongoing; the last date to fill the application form is 7th June 2021 for the candidates from outside Bangalore. Whereas candidates appearing at the Bangalore test centers can fill the application form by 17th June 2021.
Mar 18, 2021: PES University has declared the schedule for PESSAT 2021 Examination. According to the notified schedule, PESSAT 2021 will be conducted between 18th to 4th July 2021 via online mode.
PES University Aptitude Test [PESSAT]
PES University Bangalore, one of the top universities in Karnataka, conducts a university-level entrance exam PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT). Every year, the exam is conducted for PES University admission to courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in several specializations. For all the university PESSAT, 2021 application form will be published in December 2020, and the exam will be conducted in July 2021. Also, the exam dates could change for different courses.
PESSAT 2021 exam will be conducted online, computer-based, except for B.Des. PESSAT 2021 application form will be available only on the official website, while the application fee can be paid online and offline mode. PESSAT 2021 counseling will be held in two rounds via offline mode. Candidates shall choose exam centers across India in different states nearly in 39 cities will be organized.

PESSAT 2021 Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for PESSAT must ensure that they fulfill the university's eligibility. Based on the course chosen, the eligibility criteria differ. Before filling the application form, go through the details regarding PESSAT 2021 eligibility criteria.
- Nationality: To apply for PESSAT for any course, only Indian citizens are eligible
- Qualification: For any under graduation course, candidates must be intermediate passed while to apply for Masters Candidates need to hold bachelor’s degree from the relevant stream.
- Minimum Aggregate: Aspirants willing to apply need to have secured a minimum 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- Test Score: For B. Tech admissions candidates must have cleared PESSAT or KCET or related entrance test, and for M.Tech candidates must be PGCET/PESSAT/GATE qualified.
- Recognized Board: To apply for PES University, aspirants must be from ICSE, CBSE, State, IGCSE, and IB. If candidates are from other boards, they need to seek permission before seeking admissions.

PESSAT 2021 Application Form & fees
PESSAT 2021 application form will be available on the official website every year. It is expected to be released in the month of December to apply for any course. In the online mode, candidates shall fill the form. The application form's end date will differ for every course, and candidates must be aware of the last date to apply for PESSAT. Also, applicants must be eligible enough, and correct details have to be filled else during the verification process. If any errors are found, then the application form will be rejected.
Steps to fill PESSAT Application Form:
Step 1: Visit the official website of PESSAT, then click on “Apply now” further various details have to be filled in properly, and click on the “proceed” link.
Step 2: Fill in the general details that include parent details, place of birth, nationality, address, religion, etc.
Step 3: Complete the form by filling in the qualification details later, choose the exam center, and tick the declare box if all the information provided is correct.
Step 4: In the next step, upload photographs by entering the registration number, DOB, and gender.
Step 5: Final step will be PESSAT application fee payment candidates either through online or offline mode that is debit/credit/net banking or via DD/challan can clear the fee. PESSAT application fee is INR 1050.
Step 6: For future reference, take a printout of the PESSAT fee challan and now can book a slot for the exam according to their preference.
PESSAT 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
PESSAT 2021 exam pattern is different for different courses, and the exam will be conducted only in the online mode. Only for B.Des PESSAT exam will be conducted in offline mode that is pen and paper-based.
- Exam Mode: PESSAT exam will be organized in online mode
- Duration: For B. Tech exam duration is 3 hours, and for other courses, exam duration is 2 years.
- Type of questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs)
- No. of questions: For B. There will be 180 questions, and for other courses, it is 120 questions.
- Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, and for every incorrect answer, there are no negative marks.

To score well in the exam, candidates must know PESSAT 2021 syllabus. There is the no different syllabus for the exam. For B. Tech course PESSAT syllabus will be of class 11 and 12th that comprises physics, chemistry, and mathematics. For other courses, questions will be based on English comprehensive/verbal ability, analytical & logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and general awareness.
PESSAT 2021 Admit Card
Once the application form is successfully submitted, in June, PESSAT 2021 slot booking would start for B.Tech while other courses in January. In the online mode, PASSAT slot booking will be made. During slot booking, candidates can book the exam date and time according to their convenience.
- Based on first-cum-first-serve the slot booking will be made, and once the booking is made, no changes can be made.
- Only after completing slot booking candidates shall download their PESSAT 2021 admit card.
- Before two days of the exam, PESSAT admits card will have to be downloaded, and it is mandatory to carry the admit card for examination along with ID proof.
How to download PESSAT 2021 Admit Card:
Step 1: Go to the official site of the university, click on admissions, then select the PESSAT exam.
Step 2: Click on “PESSAT Slot Booking”
Step 3: Enter registration number and DOB, then “submit.”
Step 4: A new form will be displayed where candidates need to select a course, city, date, and time then submit
Step 5: Click on “Confirm” further save and take a printout.
PESSAT 2021 Results & Score Card
PESSAT 2021 results will be announced and declared on the PES University official website, and after one of the week's exams, the results will be announced that is usually in the last week of May. The candidate's result merit list shall be prepared, and those candidates will be called for PESSAT counseling. Finally, based on score and personal interview, candidates will be shortlisted.
Steps to download PESSAT 2021 Results:
Step 1: Visit the PES University official site click on the “PESSAT Result” link.
Step 2: Enter registration number and select date, month, and DOB

To qualify and seek PES University admissions, candidates need to meet the entrance exam eligibility. PESSAT cut-off will be put up where candidates need to score minimum marks in the exam to qualify. Soon after the declaration of results, cut-off marks will be released by the university, and PESSAT cut-off marks depend on various factors and parameters such as the examination's difficulty level. PESSAT 2021 Counselling & Admission
PESSAT 2021 counseling process starts after the declaration of results. It is mandatory for all the candidates qualified in the exam to participate in the counseling sessions. Two rounds of counseling sessions will be held via offline mode.
- PESSAT counseling will be held in 3 steps: the first round of counseling, submission of documents, and second round of counseling.
- Candidates qualified by scoring the exam cut-off and whose names are displayed in the first round counseling list have to appear for first-round counseling.
- Selected candidate's names announced in the first round of counseling need to fill an application form concerning secured marks other details.
- On the website through Email ID, candidates will be updated with the counseling process.
- By any chance, if candidates fail to appear for the process of counseling, then the respective seat will be passed to the next eligible candidate.
- It is advised for counseling/interview rounds to carry original and photocopied documents.
