JEE Main 2022 exam dates have been announced; know here for more details. 

NTA has recently declared its exam dates on its official website. The first session of JE Main 2022 will be held from June 20 to 29, 2022. Whereas the second session of JEE Main 2022 will be from July 21 to 30, 2022. As per the given update, the revised dates of JEE Main 2022 are likely to impact the other state entrance exams for engineering courses like TS EAMCET, KCET, MHT CET, and KEAM. Because the students preparing for the entrance exams will have to appear for JEE Main and other state entrance exams simultaneously, the registrations for JEE Main 2022 have been closed on April 25, 2022. This entrance exam is conducted at the national level for aspiring engineering students. The scores of JEE Main will help the students to get seats in both Government and private institutes across the country. The 1 paper is for B-Tech students, and the 2 is for B.Arch/ B.Plan aspiring students.

The eligibility for JEE Main 2022 is that the applicants must be citizens of India. The educational requirement is that the candidates must have completed their 10+2 board exams with a min of 45% in the science stream. The mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. As per the state eligibility, the candidates will have to mention the state code while registering for the exam.  

The admit card for JEE Main 2022 release date will be announced soon on the official website as the hall ticket is one of the prominent documents to be carried to the exam center. Only the registered candidates will be given access to download the admit card. The JEE Main 2022 session 1 result will be in July 2022, and the session 2 results will be out in August 2022. At the same time, both the JEE Main 2022 counseling rounds are expected to be held in August 2022.

The students must start preparing for the JEE main exam, and the essential part of their preparations is to know about the exam pattern and strategize their learning accordingly.

Here is the brief info about the JEE Main 2022 exam pattern:

  • The mode of examination is in CBT format, whereas the drawing test is held in PBT format.
  • The exam duration is three hours, and as a concession, the PWD candidates will get one-hour extra time to solve the paper.
  • The questions asked in JEE Main are mostly in MCQ format along with the drawing paper (subjective)
  • In the case of B-Tech paper 1, there are 90 questions. For B.Arch paper 2 (A), there are 82 questions, and for B.Plan paper 2 (B), it has 105 questions.
  • Paper (1) B-Tech is for 300 marks, and the B.Arch and B.Plan, i.e., paper 2(A) 2(B), is for a total of 400 marks.
  • The medium of language of JEE Main 2022 is available in various languages like Hindi, English, Malayalam, Tamil, Assamese, Marathi, Odia, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Punjabi, Urdu, and Telugu.
  • According to the marking scheme of JEE Main 2022, for every right answer, 4 marks will be given, and for every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. There is negative marking even for section B of the paper from this year.
