Now the application window for the March session has been ended, and the exams will be commencing from March 15-18. The candidates who have previously registered for the March session will not be allowed to making any changes as there is no option for a correction window.

To also know about the rules, here are some procedures to go about while evaluating the results.

The entire paper of the JEE Main paper comprises Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Each section of the subject will have MCQs of 4 marks each, along with numerical-based questions. These MCQs will have one negative mark for every wrong answer as attempted by the candidates. While evaluating the marks to frame the merit list then, for candidates who have scored the same marks then the evaluators will have tie-breaking rules to follow to abide by the situation, and it is in this order --

(a) Firstly, they will consider the scores gained in Mathematics subject as a priority

(b) The next highest score will be given for Physics subject scores gained by the candidates

(c) Lastly, the scores secured in the Chemistry subject will be considered as the final priority

(d) Apart from the scores, they will also consider the candidates' age, and the ones who are older will be chosen first.

Percentage scores of JEE Main 2021

1. The percentage scale of marks will be considered compared to the other candidates' performance. Initially, the scored marks will be generated into ranging scale from 100 to 0 for each examination session.

2. The percentage of the scores will be taken into validity as the raw secured marks will be conveniently changed into percentage scores and taken while preparing the final list of merit.

3. The percentage scores of JEE Main will be calculated for up to seven decimal digits to make the calculation simpler.

4. The method of calculating the percentage is as – 100* no. of candidates that have appeared in the Session with the raw score that is equal to or with less than the candidate) / Total no. of the candidates appearing for the particular Session.
