GITAM GAT 2021 Eligibility criteria

Students getting prepared to appear for GITAM GAT 2021 should know about the conducting University that initiates making important decisions in their eligibility criteria. The criteria specified by the University will benefit the aspiring students to know if they will be qualified or have the capacity to appear for the exam before filling the online application form.  Students applying for the entrance test must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below to appear for the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2021 exam:

For GAT (UGTP):                                                               

Students should have passed the 12th board examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks for and 50% aggregate marks for B.Arch./B.Pharm in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2021 or 2020 and Rank secured in GAT (UGTP)-2021.

Applicants with PCM/PCB group are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Pharmacy with 60% aggregate marks in the group and First Class/equivalent grade.


  • Applicants should have First class or equivalent grade in the Qualifying Examination from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks for M.Tech and 50% aggregate marks for M.Arch and merit secured in GAT (PGTA) 2021.

For GAT (PGP):

  • The candidate should have passed B.Pharm from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent grade and rank secured in GAT (PGP) - 2021.

GITAM GAT 2021 Application Form & fees

The GITAM GAT aspirant students will have to follow some steps before applying for GITAM GAT 2021. The application/ registration process for GITAM GAT 2021 involves a set of stages like Registration, Filling up the Application form and Uploading scanned Photographs and attaching other required Documents, paying online application fees, etc.

Candidates must have an in-depth look into the details regarding GITAM GAT 2021 Application Form:

Tentatively the GITAM GAT 2021 Application Form will be made live and accessible from the Last week of November 2020 or probably from the first week of December 2020 as announced by the GITAM institute committee, and the last due date for the submission of the application form with fee will be in the first week of March 2021. Step 1: Registration                                                          

To register for GITAM GAT 2021, the students will have to provide some of the basic details such as their name, date of birth, email-id, contact details, residence address, choice of their degree stream, specializations, entrance exam information, exam center details, etc. and lastly submit button.

After providing the form, applicants will be informed about their program and stream specialization through email or SMS after which he/she will have to continue to complete all the other steps of application.

Step 2: Uploading Documents/ Photographs                                                 

The submission of documents and photographs is vital while applying for GITAM GAT. The students will have to upload their scanned copy of recent passport-size photograph and their signature in digital format. The uploaded file size that has to be submitted should be within the given size limit in the form.

Step 3: Application Submission                                    

Later a confirmation pop-up will be displayed on the screen, and the student should read it and click on ‘I accept the terms and conditions.’

The GITAM GAT 2021 application form will appear on the screen, and the aspirants will have to scrutinize all the details and try to modify them if necessary, and then click on ‘Save and Print’

Applicants have to take a hard copy of the application receipt after the above steps are completed and a payment ID for reference, which will be used for paying application fees.

Step 4: Payment of Fees                                                                    

GITAM GAT application fees have to be paid through online mode using debit card/ credit card or net banking. The application fee for GITAM GAT 2021 is INR 800/-. After the amount is transacted, then it becomes non-refundable at any given time. The payment link for GITAM GAT 2021 application fees will be live only after the form has been submitted, and the students can continue to pay the fees.

Step 5: Confirmation of GITAM GAT 2021 Application    

After the transaction of the GITAM GAT application fee is done, students will get an online receipt to the contact details given by the student, which shows the completion of the registration process.

Students will also get a mail on their registered email ID where they will get a document format file of the complete Application Form GITAM GAT 2021 attached. Then they can access their registered accounts and a hard copy of the application form.

GITAM GAT 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

GITAM GAT 2021 Syllabus

There isn't any particular syllabus for GITAM GAT 2021 as specified by the institute. Still, the question paper will have questions diversified under 4 different sections as mentioned above, and the topics would be related to. The topics under each category given more importance will be announced in the portal itself. The syllabus various depending on the degree course chosen by the candidate.

GITAM GAT 2021 Admit Card

GITAM GAT 2021 admit card/hall ticket will be issued to the applicants who have registered for the GITAM GAT exam and have paid the application fees along with it. The admit cards will be published and announced on the official website of the conducting authority in April 2021

The student must log in to the GITAM GAT website and click on the ‘Admit card’ link and enter their login details and download the admit card/ hall ticket. Students must check the information published on the admit cards, such as the applicant's name, exam date, venue, time, and contact details. They just clip in a valid photo ID proof issued by India's Government to the exam center. They must pin in a recent passport size photograph on the hall ticket as they uploaded in the GITAM GAT application form. All the selected students must carry their admit card to the examination center. If not, the student will be restricted from taking up the examination without the hall ticket along with anyone with considerable ID proof.

GITAM GAT 2021 Results & Score Card

GITAM GAT results in 2021 are tentative to be announced in May 2021 as per the schedule depending upon the applicant's entrance exam. The result and the merit list will be released on the official website of GITAM GAT 2021. The GITAM GAT merit list can be viewed using the login credentials.

GITAM GAT 2021 results and merit list includes details such as student’s name, student’s GITAM GAT registration number, roll number of the applicant, category-wise scores, along overall scores. The final result and shortlisting of candidates, along with rank/ merit, will be available on the official website as per the mentioned tentative dates. The marks secured in GITAM GAT 2021 will be valid for the academic year from 2021-23.

GITAM GAT 2021 Counselling & Admission

Candidates securing the minimum required rank will be called for counseling, which will be published so that the candidates can download their call letter from the university website and will be required to pay a non-refundable counseling fee of Rs.1000.

List of GITAM GAT 2021 examination centres

The University will conduct the Online Admission Test at the following 44 test centers, depending upon the number of applications received against each test center. The candidate has to produce any one of the following for personal identification: Passport / Driving license / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / Aadhar Card / School or College photo-bearing ID card. GITAM GAT 2021 margin will be announced based on the student’s performance in the entrance test and their results that will get released online on the university's official website.

GITAM GAT 2021 Admission Cut Off:                                 

Students who clear the GITAM GAT 2021 exam and match the cutoff margin announced by the Institute will later be called for the final round of selection. The cutoff might vary for the different Karunya Institute campuses and the specialization depending upon different criteria.

GITAM GAT 2021 will have a Cut-Off standard score that the students will have to secure to qualify for the examination. Eligibility Criteria for Btech program details:

  • Qualification criteria: Aspirants should be qualified in their 10th, 12th exams (Intermediate) from a recognized Board to fulfill Eligibility Criteria.
  • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are mandatory subjects.  
  • Percentage criteria: 60% marks aggregate.
