Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College is the most prestigious institute in Uttar Pradesh. Institute is also known as SMC (Subharti Medical College), located in Meerut UP. The College was founded in 2008. SMC Meerut is a member of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and recognized by the MCI (Medical Council of India). It is a multidisciplinary medical research and university institution. The university's medical training unit regularly organizes workshops to improve faculty members' teaching skills. SMC is associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital, where it consists of 27 spacious rooms, seven minor and 13 major avant-garde surgery suites, a well maintained and equipped nursing room for premature babies, and seven different intensive care units for critically ill patients and for the accident and emergency room 25 beds are available. Subharti Medical College participates in national health events such as Blood Safety, Points Program, AIDS Control, and conducts health camps and blood donation events.

• Around 938 beds are available in Northern India for teaching purposes in medical care hospitals.

• SMC College offers courses like MBBS, MD/MS, Postgraduate diploma, Ph.D., M.Sc., MHA, Paramedical courses such as Diploma (MLT, MIT, OT Technology), B.Sc. (MLT, OT, MIT), M.Sc. (MLT, MIT), and Distance education (PGDGM, PGDMCH, PGDHHM).
• The course admissions are based on NEET national level examination score and through the University Central entrance exam in SMC institute.
• The biochemistry department achieved the award in 2018 for standing 1^st in Master degree MD Biochemistry with AFMC Gold Medal and received first prize (Oral paper).
• The college makes national collaboration and international collaboration for consultancy, research, and teaching.
