Admission process

  • South Calcutta Law College offers integrated legal programs for students. The institute offers candidates a general BA-LLB and BA-LLB honors program.
  • Eligibility criteria for BA LLB, student should have cleared 10+2 examination with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks is provided for SC/ST/PH candidates.
  • BA LLB Honours requires HSC or any equivalent exam and should obtain Part 1 LLB course
  • South Calcutta Law College accepts applications from accredited candidates through the online registration portal of the University of Calcutta.
  • Selection for both the courses are based on the score secured in the entrance exam which is conducted by Calcutta University

Academic Schedule

  • Application for BA LLB course will start from June 07, 2019 and end on 26th June.
  • Admission test will be conducted on July 08, 2019

How can I enrol in BA LLB at South Calcutta Law College?

To gain admission into the BA LLB course in South Calcutta Law College, you must have completed the 10+2 exam with a minimum score of 45% marks (or 40% for SC/ST/P.H). After this, it is important to take the entrance exam conducted by the University of Calcutta. You will have to apply online, and then if you are qualified according to your results, you will have to attend counselling.

SCLC offers BA LLB, BA LLB Hons, and LLM programs. There is no LLB course offered by the college. Students willing for BALLB admissions must have completed 10+2 board exams with a min of 50% marks. 

Is there any entrance exam needed for LLB program admission at SCLC?

SCLC offers BALLB and BBA LLB programs at the UG level under the law stream. These are integrated law programs for 5 years. The minimum eligibility requirement is to have passed in 10th and 12th board exams in any discipline with min of 50% marks or its equivalent. No entrance exam is needed for admissions.

SCLC does not offer LLB. Instead, they provide BA LLB and LLM programs. BALLB is an integrated program for 5 years. Those who have done 10+2 can apply for the BALLB program at SCLC.

The SCLC has offered a BALLB-integrated program for 5 years. The fee structure is INR 87.2 K for the entire program.
