RV University is a modern educational institution situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was founded under the guidance of the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). This trust has a rich history spanning over eight decades, focused on delivering excellence in higher education. The University was established in 2021, and the Government of Karnataka recognizes it. As notified by the Department of Higher Education in Karnataka, RVU operates as a private university.

RVU has gained the necessary regulatory approvals from the UGC, India. Moreover, RVU is one of the institutions that are managed under RSST. Also, the Prestigious Engineering College in Bangalore, RV College, is managed by RSST. RV University Courses are offered at the UG and PG levels through its 7 departments.

RV University admission is based on the RV Scholastic Admission Test (RVSAT), a national-level entrance exam, followed by a rigorous Selection Process. Specifically for engineering programs, 40% of students are admitted based on their Karnataka CET ranks.

RV University Fees Structure

At the UG level, RVU offers the BA, BBA, BCA, B Com, B Des, BSc, and B Tech admissions. It offers MA, M Tech and M Des at the PG level. The fee structure will vary for each course. RV University BBA fees are approximately INR 2 lakhs on an annual basis. Meanwhile, RV University fees for B Tech are approximately INR 1.6 lakhs annually.

RV University Admission Process

Admission to the UG and PG Courses at RV University is based on the RVSAT Entrance Exam, followed by a Personal Interview. Applicants seeking admission to the RV University Engineering can apply through KCET. 40% of seats are reserved for admission under KCET Quota. • Register for RVSAT 2023: RVSAT is a national-level entrance examination for all UG and PG programs. Apply for RVSAT online at https://admissions.rvu.edu.in/. Applicants must submit their application before RV University's last date.
• RVU Selection Process: Admission depends on the course applied for, and the RVSAT score achieved.
• Selection Letter Issued: A selection letter will be issued upon meeting the eligibility and admission criteria.
• Programme Registration: Register for the program by submitting the registration fee as indicated in the selection letter.
• Provisional Admission Letter: After completion of the selection process, a temporary admission letter will be issued.

RV University Scholarship

The University has recently introduced a variety of scholarships. There are university-wide scholarships available.

• These scholarships offer 100% coverage to students who have lost one or both parents to COVID-19.
• In addition, there are school-specific scholarships available. For example, in the School of Economics and Finance, students with outstanding scores can receive a percentage of the first-year fees. The eligible programs are BBA, B.Com., and BA Economics.
• The Scholarship Committee awards these scholarships. The School of Design provides scholarships based on rankings and scores on design entrance exams. The School of Computer Science offers scholarships to students with high scores in their 12th or PUC exams.
• Additionally, there are scholarships available for alumni of RVU and children of RVU staff. Students can apply for one of these scholarships based on their eligibility and achievements. Please be aware that renewal is contingent upon exceptional performance in the prior year.

RV University Facilities

RV University's campus provides various facilities and amenities for its students. The campus is spread across 50 acres. It has modern infrastructure and inclusive features like ramps and lifts for accessibility. The classrooms have multimedia projectors and high-speed broadband internet.

The University has a food court called "Mingo's" that serves a variety of cuisines. It is available for students, faculty, and staff and offers clean and healthy meals. Transportation is made easier by providing buses for students and staff. There is also a nearby metro station called Pattanagere. The campus has a fully automated bank, post office, and health centre.

RV University Hostel: RVU offer various facilities based on their semester to ensure their safety and comfort. The number of students sharing a room depends on the year they're studying, as their needs change from the first to the final year.

• They have different hostels for different students. Chamundi block and Cauvery Annex block are for first-year UG students.
• Cauvery block is for second and third-year UG students, while Sir M. Visweswaraya block is for final-year UG and PG students.
