Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology was brought into existence in the year 1991 in Kottayam, Kerala. The institute, in short, is known as RIT and was established by the Govt. of Kerala, given a name after former Prime Minister of India, Shri Rajiv Gandhi. AICTE, New Delhi, accredit the institute.
