Located in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, the Punjab Agricultural University is a publicly funded institution. It was established in 1962 and is India's third oldest state agricultural university. PAU pioneered the Green Revolution in India and has played a crucial role in increasing food grain production. It is also at the forefront of conservation agriculture, apiculture and farm mechanization.

The University aims to provide quality education in agriculture, veterinary science and allied fields through basic applied research and extension programmes to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural population. It also strives to develop an effective mechanism to transfer agro-based knowledge and technology to farmers and agricultural organizations.

It offers bachelor's, master's & doctoral degrees in agriculture, veterinary, and agro-based sciences. It also conducts basic applied and adaptive research. Admission to these programmes is based on merit and entrance test. ICAR and UGC recognize Punjab Agricultural University Courses. PAU also has several scholarships for students who qualify. Punjab Agricultural University Course Admission

The University offers several UG and PG courses in agriculture, animal sciences, biotechnology, forestry, home science, engineering, and management. The University Grants Commission also recognizes it. The admissions process is based on an entrance test, interview and document verification. Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam must then attend the counselling session. Students can apply for the University's courses either offline or online.

Punjab Agricultural University UG Admission

PAU offers a variety of undergraduate degrees and popular courses, including B.Sc. and B.Tech. Programmes with different concentrations. To be eligible, Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Agriculture with at least 50% aggregate

  • Except for a B.Sc in fashion design, applicants for a B.Sc. (Hons.) must participate in PAU's CET. Candidates for the B.Sc. in Architecture are required to take the IITs' AAT. Candidates with valid scores can obtain a Punjab University of Agriculture BSc Admission.

Punjab Agricultural University PG Admission

The PG programmes at Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana include the MTech, MSc, Integrated MSc, MBA and MCA. Admission to the Punjab University MBA Agribusiness and MCA programmes is determined on PAU-MET results, followed by a PI round. For the shortlisted candidates, admission to the MTech programme in remote sensing and GIS is based on a PI round. How to get admission to Punjab Agricultural University?

Punjab agricultural university admission process includes the following steps-

Applicants must go to the University's official website. The cost of the downloaded Punjab Agricultural University Application Form and prospectus is included in the entrance test fee of'5640/- (' 610/- for additional options in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science).

Applicants must submit the duly filled application Form using a valid, individual email address.

A clear, current passport-size-coloured photo and a scanned copy of the signature must be provided along with the form.

The candidate will have two options for paying the Punjab agricultural university exam fee: online payment (credit card/debit card/net banking) or a challan mode (a) A candidate must click "Pay Online" and complete the payment process if they want to make their payment online.

The candidate must send the transaction statement to The Registrar, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-141 004, along with a computer-generated printout of the application form duly signed by the candidate and their parents/guardian. The transaction statement and computer-generated printout must identify the entrance test on the envelope.

  • The candidate may download the bank challan form from the relevant bank if they must pay by challan.
  • The candidate must visit the bank branch with the appropriate Challan Form after printing the challan to deposit the fee.
  • A computer-generated printout of the application form duly signed by the applicant and their parents or legal guardian must also be sent to The Registrar, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-141 004, along with the university copy of the challan form.

The Punjab Agricultural University constituent unit, College of Agriculture & Engineering & Technology, has a training and placement cell that arranges for internships, job fairs and other events that facilitate employment for its graduates. Punjab Agricultural University Facilities

The Punjab Agricultural University has a vast infrastructure and numerous amenities for students. It has a sprawling main campus of 1510 acres and regional research stations covering 4615 acres. The University was named the Best Agricultural University in India in 1995 for its outstanding research, education and extension achievements.

  • Lecture Halls: Multimedia projectors are available in every lecture hall. Air conditioners are available in the exam rooms. Also, it can accommodate 200 applicants in its seats.

PAU offers B.Sc. hons in Agriculture and other streams. The selections will be based on academic merit in 10+2 board exams in the science stream. Selections are based on merit, and no entrance test is required.
