Punjab Agricultural University BSc Admission

PAU Ludhiana offers a variety of undergraduate programmes, including BSc in various streams. Based on the quantity of research article citations, PAU has been ranked first among Top State Universities by CII-ICI. Candidates must ensure the Punjab Agricultural University eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The eligibility varies from course to course. To give admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) programmes, PAU Ludhiana administers the Common Entrance Test (CET), followed by counselling, except for B.Sc. (Architecture/Fashion Designing).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for BSc

  1. Qualifications for Punjab Agricultural University B.Sc Agriculture is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics with at least 50% overall OR a two-year diploma in the appropriate field. In addition, the candidate must pass the PAU Ludhiana Entrance Test BSc Agriculture, followed by counselling or an interview. Besides, ICAR ranked third out of all agricultural institutions and universities in India.
  1. Admission to Community Science requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture, or Home Science and the PAU CET Entrance Exam, followed by counselling or an interview.
  1. Admission to the BSc Architecture requires students to appear for the AAT score and Matriculation. Besides, they shall have at least 65% overall in the 10+2 science stream.
  1. Candidates for BSc fashion design must have a minimum aggregate score of 50% in 10+2. Besides, they must appear for the Design aptitude test administrated by the university.
  1. For admission to the Punjab Agricultural University Horticulture stream, applicants must appear for PAU CET and Interview. In addition, they shall have passed 10+2 with not less than 50% marks.

Punjab Agricultural University B Tech Admission

PAU offers admission to the UG degree B Tech in three disciplines. The eligibility criteria differ for each course.

  • To qualify for the B.Tech. in Biotechnology, students must have completed the 10+2 or an equivalent in  Biology with at least 50% overall marks. Selection is based on the Punjab Agricultural University Entrance Exam.
  • Eligibility for Food Technology is 10+2 or an equivalent with PCMB with at least 50% overall marks. Selection is based on the entrance exam administrated by PAU. Thus, applicants must be aware of the PAU CET Entrance Exam Dates.
  • Candidates for Punjab University Agricultural Engineering must have a 10+2 science stream with at least 50% overall and a score in JEE Main, followed by counselling.

Punjab Agricultural University Diploma Courses

PAU offers admission to the Diploma in Hybrid Seed Production Technology and Agriculture. According to the admission criteria, candidates who have passed 10th/10+2 from a recognized board can apply for the course. The Punjab Agricultural University Merit list will be formed based on the aggregate marks. Candidates whose name is enlisted on the merit column can attend PAU Counselling or Personal interviews.

The selection of students for the M.Tech. in Remote Sensing and GIS is based on an interview process for the shortlisted applicants. Candidates who have completed the CET can apply for the Integrated M.Sc. programme.

About PAU CET Entrance Exam

PAU Common Entrance Exam, also known as PAU CET, is conducted annually to offer admission to the Punjab Agricultural University UG Courses. Candidates from the State of Punjab and Union Territory Chandigarh can apply for the entrance exam.

The exam will be conducted for the duration of 3 hrs. In contrast, the total mark is 800. PAU CET Application form fees is INR 5640/- Basically, PAU CET Exam Registration commence in May every year. In contrast, the exam will take place in June/July. The mode of examination is online. Soon after the exam conclusion, the Punjab Agricultural University Result of CET will be available online via the website.

Punjab Agricultural University  MSc Admission

For admission to the MSc in PAU, eligibility requirements include a qualifying score in Punjab Agricultural University PG Entrance Exam, commonly known as MET, followed by an Interview. In addition, students shall have obtained at least 60% marks in relevant streams such as B.Sc. Agri., B.Sc. Agri. (Hons), B.Sc. Forestry, and B.Sc. Horticulture.

Punjab Agricultural University  M Tech Admission

For admission to the M Tech, Candidates must have a 60% Bachelor of Engineering/Technology average in the appropriate discipline. Besides, a score in the MET and an interview performance determine admission to the M Tech. The PAU MET Entrance Exam application form will be available on the official website.

In contrast, remote sensing and geographic information systems eligibility require a MET score of 100 and 60% in a related bachelor's degree. In addition, students must review the Punjab Agricultural University Exam Syllabus to prepare well for the exam.

Punjab Agricultural University  MCA Admission

Applicants for an MCA degree must have a 60% in their bachelor's degree. Besides, they shall have studied concerned streams at their UG level, such as BCA, B.Sc. (IT) or B.Sc. (Computer Science). There is also a provision for lateral entry. However, the final admission is offered based on PAU MET Entrance Exam. Those qualifying for the entrance exam will be called for Punjab Agricultural University   Counselling.

Punjab Agricultural University MBA Admission

Applicants for an MBA degree must have a 60% average in any discipline. Admissions are granted based on the Scores in the PAU-conducted Interview and the Entrance Exam. Thus, applicants must ensure the PAU MET Entrance Exam Dates.

Punjab Agricultural University provides B.Sc. admissions for those who have completed 10+2 board exams in the science stream with a minimum of 50% or more. No entrance exam is required for admission.

PAU offers B.Sc. hons in Agriculture and other streams. The selections will be based on academic merit in 10+2 board exams in the science stream. Selections are based on merit, and no entrance test is required.
