Nitte Institute of Architecture

Nitte Institute of Architecture (NIA) is one of the prominent educational institutes founded in 2015, and the council approves it of Architecture & AICTE. It is the part of Nitte University, Mangalore. The College imparts world-class education in several streams, namely Interior Design, Product Design, Urban Planning, Conservation, and the academic curriculum at NIA has structured innovatively with a blend of both theory-based and practical training. In the 6^th Semester, students get an opportunity to work under a design professional's supervision as one of the learning parts of the co-operative education program.

• NIA Mangalore offers a bachelor’s degree B. Arch course for the duration of 5 years with a total intake of 40 students annually. To get eligible to apply for the time, candidates shall have passed in 10+2 examination with the required 50% aggregate score in the science stream.

• Fees structure at Nitte Institute of Architecture costs around INR 2.6 Lakhs Per annum; hence for the complete course duration, fee expenses up to INR 13.2 Lakhs.
• Nitte Institute of Architecture admissions for the B Arch course will be granted based on the entrance test score. Candidates must clear the entrance exam NATA, which COA will conduct, or candidates must clear JEE Main Paper 2, which will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency)
• NIA Mangalore application forms are made available at the institute's respective website, and candidates can either apply via online mode or can download the form and submit the duly-filled application form through Email.
• Scholars at Nitte Institute of Architecture will be offered for the meritorious students who have secured more than 80% in the 10+2 examination level.

NIA has been recognized as 3^rd college in India to offer LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Lab program, and the institute also arranges workshops, co-operative learning, study tours, and guest lectures to enhance experiential learning as well as theoretical knowledge

Nitte is just not known for its engineering, or any degree course is also famous for architecture course. Nitte Institute of Architecture  INFRASTRUCTURE:

• Canteen facilities within the campus are provided with varieties and hygienic food. Clean restroom, students center, stationery shops, and first-aid cum sick room.
• Lab facilities with highly equipped materials for architecture students, visual art studio, central store, photography lab, withdrawing tables.
• Institute sets up QPDS center and NATA test center to regale university examinations, and facilities of a workshop for metal craft, sculpture, carpentry-woodworks, plaster of works, pottery, material museum, and exhibition hall.
• A library with a collection of books over 600 and 100 titles on architecture with a reading room. It also has a locker facility for students.
• And the areas like cricket ground, football court, volleyball, throw ball, badminton court and indoor games like carom, chess, and table tennis.

Nitte Institute of Architecture  HOSTELS:

Host élites are provided with a cupboard, cot, chair and a study table, provided with a Wi-Fi facility, TV room, water coolers, water heaters, surveillance cameras, and 24/7 security. Even they have the facilities of indoor and outdoor games. There is no permission for outside catering, and the menu consists of veg and non-veg separately with multi-cuisine hygienic and nutritious food.

Nitte Institute of Architecture  SCHOLARSHIP:

Students from minority and SC/ST are eligible for a scholarship whose parents are from military or army backgrounds. All the meritorious students have a fee concession in tuition fee securing more than 90% get Rs.200000, 85-90% Rs.215000, 80-85% Rs.240000 and less than 80% gets Rs.265000. This benefit will extend only if a student maintains good academic performance by clearing the semesters and good discipline.
