University of Mysore Admission

The University of Mysore is a Public University, came into existence in the year 1956. NAAC accredits UOM with an 'A' Grade. It is the sixth oldest University in the Country and Primary University in Karnataka State. In NIRF 2020 Rankings, UOM has secured 27^th Rank in India, 1^st Rank In Karnataka and 47^th for overall assessment. In 2012, UGC recognised UOM as a "University With Potential for Excellence" (UPE)

• Currently, UOM offers admission to the BCA, BBA, BSC, BA, B VOC, B Arch, BEd, BPed, B Plan, BA LLB, B Com+LLB at the UG level.
• In terms of PG courses, UOM offers MCA, MArch, MBA, MSc, MEd, LLM, MTTM, M Tech, MSW, M Com, M.P.Ed, M.LIB.I.SC. Along with UG & PG Courses, it offers PG Diploma.
• Admission at the University of Mysore is based on merit as well as entrance exam score. Therefore, applicants have to make sure of the UOM's eligibility criteria before filling an application form.

University of Mysore UG Admission

UOM will offer admission to the UG courses based on merit in the qualifying exam, for Some UG courses require entrance exam marks.

• Students who are willing to apply for UG Courses at UOM must have passed in 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
• Whereas, Students applying for B Arch or B Plan admission at UOM must clear NATA Exam with a valid score. While selection criteria for other UG courses depend on merit

• For admission to the B P.Ed, the selection is based on 12^th marks, graduation marks and any sports achievements. In addition, students must clear the Physical Efficiency Test.
• Students who are willing to apply for BCA or BSC admission in UOM must have passed in 12^th with 45%. In addition, BCA admission seekers must have studied Mathematics as the main subject.

University of Mysore PG Admission

At the PG level, UOM offers UGC recognised academic programs in multiple disciplines. For admission to the PG courses at UOM, students must obtain a minimum of 50% average scores at the UG level. 

• Students seeking admission in M Tech Urban & Regional Planning at UOM have to clear the entrance test PGEE. ( Post Graduate Entrance Exam) UOM conducts this entrance exam via offline mode.

• For other M Tech branches such as Material Science, Computer Science, IT and Computer Cognition, students must clear state level entrance test PGCET conducted by KEA.
• MBA at UOM is available in General & Agribusiness. Students who have cleared KPGCET or KMAT with a valid rank can apply for MBA admission in UOM.
• Admission to the M Arch at UOM is based on the student's score acquired in NATA Exam.
• Whereas, for remaining PG courses such as MA, MSc, M com, M P.Ed, MSW, M L.Isc, M.Ed., LLM, admissions are provided based on PGEE Exam conducted by UOM (Post Graduate Entrance Exam)
• Aspirants willing to apply for LLM admission at UOM shall have done UG degree LLB or Integrated course LLB with 50% marks.
• Students who qualify in the PGEE entrance exam have to take part in a Counselling session. UOM will hold the counselling.

The University of Mysore Diploma and PG Diploma Admission

Besides UG and PG courses, UOM offers admission to the Diploma & PG Diploma in several streams. The selection of the students depends on merit in the qualifying exam.

• Fill in all the necessary details in the UOM application form. Then, upload the scanned copies of the documents.
• At last, make the payment of application fees. The application fees for UG courses cost INR 300. Whereas PG courses application fees INR 400
• Students are seeking admission to the MBA, M Tech, B Arch or M Arch at UOM. At first, they have to register for the entrance exams KPGCET, KMAT or NATA through the respective website.
