National P.G. College

In 1974, the National Post Graduate College (NPGC) came into existence. It is an autonomous public institute and holds CPE Status. (College with potential for excellence) The campus locates close to the river Gomti in the heart of Lucknow city, Uttar Pradesh State. NAAC accredits NPGC with an ‘A’ Grade. It is affiliated with Lucknow University. It offers UGC-recognized UG and PG degrees. In India Today 2016 Rankings, National PG College bagged 39^th Rank among Best Arts College in India. Also, secured 26^th Rank among Best Commerce College in India. In, The Week 2020 Rankings, it bagged 45^th rank among Top Arts College in India. NPGC has an admirable infrastructure with the best academic amenities. NPGC offers UG and PG courses in various streams. (Management, Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Applications, and Agriculture)

• Regarding UG courses, NPGC offers BA, B.Sc., B.Voc, BBA, BMS, B.Com, and BCA. Students who have passed the 12^th level with a minimum of 50% to 55% can apply for UG courses at National PG College.
• At the PG level, NPGC offers MA, M.Voc, M.Com, and M.Sc. 55% to 60% of students who have completed their UG degree can seek admission under PG courses at National PG College.
• The popular courses of  NPGC are B.Sc. and B.Com. Most of the students prefer this college to secure admission into these courses.
• NPGC has a team of distinguished faculty. The academic courses of the college intend to ensure interactive learning methodologies to enhance academic accomplishments among students.
• Apart from UG and PG courses, NPGC offers PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certification Courses through distance. It is one of the study centers of IGNOU and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University.
• Remedial and consultation classes are also being held for the candidates who study in distance mode.
• The college also provides a coaching facility for NET and other competitive exams for the minority groups and the weaker sections.
• Candidates seeking admission at National PG college must appear for the institute-level entrance exam LUACMAT. Admission will be granted based on the valid score obtained in the entrance exam.
• Candidates who qualify for the entrance test must appear for a personal interview and a counseling session. The admission procedure is offline.

National PG College Placement

NPGC has a dedicated placement cell, which handles all the placement activities conducted on the campus. It holds an excellent placement rate of 82%. NPGC offers ample job opportunities for candidates through the recruitment process. Besides recruitment, the college offers an internship facility to the students. Here, students get a chance to work on live projects under the guidance of industry experts. Also, students will receive a stipend amount.

• The major recruiters of NPGC are HCL, Wipro, IBM, Genpact, and I GATE. Apart from these companies, other reputed companies participate in the placement drive every year.
• More than 170 students got hired with an average package of INR 2.5 Lakhs in the past academic year. The highest package is 10 LPA.
• The placement cell provides rigorous training by arranging activities like regular industry visits, Mock Interviews, Seminars, Group discussions, etc.

National PG College Scholarships

• Amit Singh Chauhan Memorial Scholarship is available for B.Com. It is a type of Merit Scholarship. Students who have maintained an excellent academic record can avail of this scholarship. It is applicable only for 1^st and 2^nd-year B.Com Students.
• BA 1^st and 2^nd-year students can seek for Ram Dulari G.P. Dixit Memorial Scholarship. Students who have maintained more than 80% in academic examinations are eligible to obtain this scholarship.
• To provide financial assistance, NPGC offers college-level scholarships to the financially weaker sections.
• Free Ship facility for EWS Category, students, get certain concession/fee waiver in tuition fee.
• State Government Scholarships are available for the reserved category students such as SC / ST / OBC.
