IGNOU Lucknow Admission

Candidates are selected for the courses offered at IGNOU Lucknow based on merit. For the courses like B.Ed and MBA, applicants must appear for the entrance exam administrated by IGNOU. Detailed information about the IGNOU Lucknow Admission is mentioned below:

IGNOU Lucknow UG Admission

IGNOU Lucknow UG Courses require the candidates to have passed 10+2. The candidates are selected based on merit in the previous qualifying examination. However, candidates applying to the B.Sc course must have passed 10+2/HSC  in the Science stream.

Also, many eligibility conditions exist for aspirants applying for the BLIS course. Aspirants having a Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks or a Diploma in Library Science can apply to the course.

Moreover, candidates having a UG Degree with 2 years of working experience in a Library & Information Centre or a bachelor's degree in a Professional area such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, etc, can apply for this course.

In case of admission to the IGNOU Lucknow B.Ed, candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements.

• Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their Bachelor's or Masters in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity.
• Or, Candidates should have at least 55% marks in their Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology.
• The entrant should be a trained in-service teacher in elementary education (Nursery/Primary) with a minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience when applying for the B.Ed program.
• The candidate should have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.

IGNOU Lucknow PG Admission

For admission to the PG Courses, candidates shall have the basic eligibility criteria of having graduated in any discipline from any recognized university except the M.Ed course, which requires candidates to have a B.Ed or B.EI.Ed degree. However, certain courses have additional eligibility conditions. For instance, candidates applying to MCA must have had Mathematics as a distinct subject at 10 + 2. Students not fulfilling this criterion must pursue and pass the CS-60 course concurrently.

For IGNOU Lucknow admission into the M.Sc course, Graduates from any recognized University/Institution having a Major or Honours in Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate can apply the same.

Graduates having a BSc degree in Mathematics, securing at least 50%  marks in aggregate and 55% in Mathematics, will be considered for admission into the M.Sc course if any vacant seats are left.

IGNOU Lucknow Distance MBA Admission

IGNOU MBA is a popular and well-regarded distance learning program designed to provide knowledge and skills in various aspects of business and management. It allows students to pursue a postgraduate degree in business administration while maintaining flexibility in their learning schedules.

Program Structure:

• The IGNOU Distance MBA program follows a semester-based system.
• The program's total duration is a minimum of 2.5 years and a maximum of 8 years, allowing students to complete the course at their own pace.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years) from a recognized university or institution.
• They should also have at least three years of managerial/supervisory/professional experience after completing their Bachelor's degree. The experience is counted from the date of acquiring the Bachelor's degree.

IGNOU Lucknow Admission Process for Distance MBA

IGNOU conducts an " OPENMAT " entrance examination for admission to the MBA program.

Candidates need to qualify in the OPENMAT examination to be eligible for admission.

• The university releases admission notifications for the MBA program on its official website and in newspapers.
• Attentive applicants can apply online through the IGNOU website or offline by obtaining the prospectus from the regional centre.
• After filling out the application form and submitting it along with the necessary documents and application fee, candidates must appear for the OPENMAT exam.

Evaluation and Examinations:

• The evaluation in the MBA program is a combination of continuous assessment and term-end examinations.
• Students are required to submit assignments for each course, which contribute to the continuous assessment component.
• The term-end examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December.
