ZHT came into existence in 1979, with administrators & planners, Social workers, and many more. Tikona Mission Trust, B.R, recognizes the institute. A Bihar University Muzaffarpur, Tata Institute of Social Science, MCRPV.

Dr. Zakir Husain Institute has experienced tremendous growth, including record revenue of more than 45,000 students, expanded degree programs, improved market reputation, and new facilities and laboratories.

Prof. A.K.Nayak, Director of the Institute, was elected as National Secretary of the Computer Society of India on April 1, 2016, the largest professional body of IT and IT professionals in the country, and was also awarded at the International Competition of Information Technology Competition in Udaipur, Rajasthan for his essential contribution to IT education in the country on March 4, 2016.

Placement Facilities:
The College provides access to the following placement assistance, in addition to your regular lessons, for a ZHI student to stand out from the crowd and prepare themselves for the future. Around 2.4 lakhs students have been trained from our institute. Adding on extra facilities like American Corner, Patna (Membership Fees for ZHI Students per annum is Rs.200 only), and Microsoft IT Academy program facility is provided to students.
