National Institute of Technology Patna Admission

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna was formerly started as Bihar School of Engineering and later was named Bihar College of Engineering. The Institute got its name NIT, Patna, in 2004 from the Indian Government. NIT Patna is an Autonomous Institute directed under MHRD, the Indian Govt.

NIT, Patna has six Engineering departments and one department of Architecture, along with one department for PCM. The Institute has offered UG and PG programs such as B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Sc., and MURP specializations.

The Institute accepts admissions to the B.Tech program through the JEE Main exam, B.Arch through the NATA exam, M.Tech, and MURP through the GATE exam.

NIT Patna Important Dates:

NIT Patna B.Tech Admissions:

The Institute has been offering a B.Tech program with six specializations for four years. The students with basic eligibility of 12th or equivalent with 75% marks should be in the top 20 percentile in the respective board exam. The selection process for the students will be based on the score obtained in JEE Main exam.

NIT Patna B.Tech Cut Off:

NIT Patna B.Arch Admissions:

The students with 12th or equivalent with 75% marks or should be in the Top 20 Percentile in the respective board exam will be eligible to apply for the B.Arch program. Selection for B.Arch admissions will be based on the NATA exam.

NIT Patna M.Tech Admissions:

The Institute offers an M.Tech program with eighteen specializations for eligible students for two years. The students must hold Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering or a Master’s Degree in applicable discipline from any well-recognized board. The students will be selected for admission based on the GATE score obtained by the students.

NIT Patna M.Tech Cut Off:

NIT Patna MURP Admissions:

The Institute offers Urban & Regional Planning a master’s degree level for the students with basic eligibility of B.Arch or B. Planning or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. The selection process for the MURP program is dependent on the GATE exam score obtained by the students applying for admission to NIT Patna.

NIT Patna Integrated M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute is offering an Integrated M.Sc. program for the students with three specializations to opt from. The basic eligibility required for applying to the integrated M.Sc. program is 10+2 or equivalent in a related discipline. M.Sc. program is conducted for a five-year duration, and the admission selection process will be based on the merit of the written test held by the Institute.

• Duly Filled Application Form to be submitted online through NIT Patna Official website.
• Submitted Application form to be downloaded along with photographs, documents, and SoP to the Institute’s address before the last date.
• Application Processing Fee of INR 1000/- has to be paid through DD and application form hardcopy.
