IIT Patna B.Tech Admissions:

IIT Patna offers the B.Tech program with six specializations for four years duration. The students must go through the JEE Main exam for admission to the B.Tech program. The students having 10+2 or equivalent in the Science stream with minimum marks from any well-known board can apply for the program. The final selection will be based on JEE Main score, followed by a centralized counselling round.

15% of the total seats will be reserved for SC category students, 7.5% of the seats are reserved for ST category students, and 3% of the total seats will be reserved for PwD for all categories.

10% of the total seats in each program will be reserved for the Foreign National students under the Supernumerary category.

IIT Patna B.Tech Cut Off:

IIT Patna M.Tech Admissions:

The Institute has been offering an M.Tech program for two years in eight specializations. The Institute starts accepting M.Tech application forms in July each year. The students will be granted admissions based on scores obtained in the Institute’s written test, followed by an interview round and counselling. The Institute also accepted entries through the GATE exam score.

The students must have basic eligibility of B.Tech or M.Sc. in the applicable stream with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. The students who have pursued the B.Tech program from any IITs with 80% marks do not need a GATE score for admissions.

The students applying for more than one specialization will have to submit separate application forms.

IIT Patna M.Sc. Admissions:

The students are provided with an M.Sc. program with two specializations for two years. Basic eligibility to apply for the program is a B.Sc. in the applicable stream with a minimum of 60% marks. The students will be selected for admissions based on JAM, followed by CCMN counselling.

The students must first apply for the respective entrance exams and qualify for the admissions. Qualified students will have to fill out the application for the program on the IIT Patna official website. The students must pay the application fee of INR 300/-.
