DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering was founded in 1982 as a private institute in Kolhapur. The Institute is affiliated with Shivaji University Kolhapur and is approved by the AICTE in New Delhi. DKTE College occupies a unique and distinct position among the best engineering institutions. This college has over 3750 students and over 202 faculty members. The Institute, which has evolved in the textile & engineering fields, provides a variety of courses to students. DKTE institute is certified with NAAC A+ and recognized as one of the top industry-linked institutes. For each specialty, the Institute boasts well-educated and highly experienced faculty.

DKTE offers Diploma, Postgraduate, and Undergrad courses in various specialties. For example, B Tech is available in Textile Technology, CSE, EEE, Fashion Technology, Man Made Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Electronics & Telecom, and many more. DKTE MBA specializations are in Textile Management, Production Management, HR, Finance, Marketing, and General. Additionally, the college offers M Tech and Diploma courses. DKTE fee structure for B Tech is INR 1.01 Lakhs per year. The annual fee for MBA is INR 52k. Students who enroll in Diploma courses must pay INR 50k per year. The fee structure for MBA admission is INR 55k per year.

DKTE Admission Process for B Tech will be based on the results of the MHT Exam or JEE Mains Exams followed by CAP (Centralized admission process). Engineering diploma and B.Sc. Students may also apply for lateral entrance to B.Tech. Programs. Students with bachelor's degrees and a valid score in the MAH MBA CET, CMAT, CAT, XAT, and CMAT are qualified for MBA admission. Students who have completed UG degree and GATE Examination can apply for M Tech. DKTE Admission Form will be available on the official website of the college.

DKTE offers two types of scholarships: state government scholarships, central government scholarships, and central sector scholarships. In addition, students will be awarded merit scholarships depending on their grades and eligibility. According to AICTE, PG students who pass the GATE entry exam will be eligible for scholarships.

DKTE Campus has classrooms, an auditorium, lecture halls, conference rooms, a food court and canteen, sports, a transportation facility, and a central computer facility. The Institute also offers girls' and boys' hostels that are well-equipped. Hostels include dining areas and 24-hour Wi-Fi access for students who stay in hostels. DKTE hostels provide single, double, or shared rooms; thus, the fees vary depending on the rooms selected by the student. The DKTE hostel fee structure would cost between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 per year.

DKTE Placement and Training Department is actively involved in liaising with industries for organizing industrial training, internships, and on-campus interviews. Besides, TPC provides information to clarify career goals and identify suitable pathways through orientation lectures and counseling.
