DIT University School of Applied Science

DIT University School of Applied Science, is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand and was established in the academic year of 1998. DIT University was bought into existence with an aim to become a global leader among organizations offering Applied Science programs. The university aims to excel in offering innovative and interdisciplinary allied science as well as science in emerging fields through multi-disciplinary professional training and a translational research oriented futuristic approach. DIT University is under the approval of University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with AICTE.

• DIT University have various departments including school of Applied Science, School of Civil Engineering, school of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum & Energy Studies and faculty of Humanities & Liberal Arts.
• DIT University School of Applied Science offers B. Sc (Hons) under the specialization of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics; M. Sc in Physics with specialization in Electronics and Ph. D in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Minimum 50% marks in 12^th std or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognised board with physics, Chemistry & Mathematics is mandatory for admission into UG courses.
• For admission into PG courses Graduation with 55% marks is mandatory and in case of Ph. D programmes candidate must appear for GATE or NET entrance examination and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in order to get admission.
• Fee Structure of all the courses offered by the University are very much feasible and can be paid in instalments per annum.
• Total fee structure of B. Sc (Hons) is around INR 2,40,000; M. Sc course total fee is INR 1,40,000 and the Ph. D program can be completed with the total expenditure of INR 1.60 Lakhs.
• The students are provided introduction to identification of hazards in the industries and preventive methods that can be used.
• The students are provided with knowledge of occupational health and safety and socio economic aspects of the society.
• They provide industry based studies to help the students improve their innovative thinking and problem solving skills.

DIT University School of Applied Science have excellent infrastructure with all facilities mandatory for the study and comfort stay. The hostel facility in the university is good with separate blocks for boys and girls with single bed, double seater and triple seater rooms.

The classrooms are spacious with good seating facility and equipped with projectors for providing audio and video representation.

The canteen is good providing varieties of food which is nutritious with good pricing for each item and provide special food on festivals for all the students.

The college has 24/7 medical facility with a lady officer in the campus and nursing staff with ambulance.
