DIT University Admission

Dehradun Institute of Technology, also known as DIT University, was established in 1998 by the Unison Group as a center for excellent and world-class education. The university has all the necessary amenities, such as centralized libraries, dorms, and research labs equipped with modern technology. The UGC approved DIT University in 2013 after it attained private university status. Furthermore, it has earned several national and international accolades. Candidates who wish to seek admission to this prestigious university shall maintain a stellar academic record in the qualifying examinations. Also, they might be required to take the entrance exams such as Jee Mains/ GATE/ UGC NET/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ NMAT. Besides, DIT conducts its entrance test known as DUET (DIT Univesity Entrance Test) to offer MBA admission. Thus, admission to the DIT University Course is strictly based on entrance test performance followed by the counseling/interview process.

DIT University B.Tech Admission

DIT University B.Tech programs are offered to those candidates who have passed their class 10+2/ HSC exams with at least 50% aggregate marks. Also, the DIT University Eligibility Criteria for B Tech include taking the JEE Main, as admission is based on the scores of the entrance exams. The disciplines available in the full-time 4-year B. However, there is a provision for Direct admission to DIT University for the Class 12th Board Toppers, NRIs, and the students seeking admission based on merit from the qualifying exams. Preference will be given to the top performers in the entrance exams. Additionally, Diploma holders are eligible to apply for B Tech Lateral Entry.

DIT University BCA Admission

For admission to the BCA at DIT University, interested applicants can apply based on the merit of the qualifying examinations. Likewise, these are class 10+2/ HSC/ Pre-University exams conducted by any nationally-recognized board. However, preference will be given to those candidates who have studied Mathematics/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications as mandatory subjects in the 12^th board. The DIT University’s admission process may also include personal interviews and group discussions for the final shortlisting rounds conducted by the university.

DIT University B. Sc Admission

Similar to the BCA program, admission to the B. Sc is also made through the merit obtained in class 12th exams. Candidates will not be required to take any DIT University entrance exams. DIT University UG Admission

DIT University UG Courses such as B. Arch, B. Des, B Pharm, and BA. Admission Criteria are similar to all the courses. In addition, interested candidates must obtain a passing percentage in class 12th/ HSC/ Pre-University exams. However, those students who have obtained more than 80% aggregate marks in these qualifying exams will be given direct admission. Else, they must participate in interviews and counseling sessions.

Meanwhile, candidates must score 70% aggregate marks or above in class 12th/ HSC/ Pre-University exams to qualify for the DIT University B Pharm. In addition, they must appear for a state-level entrance test. Furthermore, students who wish to apply for B Arch must qualify for the NATA Entrance Test.

DIT University M. Tech Admission

For admission to the esteemed M. Tech programs, candidates must secure passing marks in the qualifying Bachelor’s exams. This full-time 2-year program is open for those candidates who possess B. Tech/ BCA/ B. Sc in Computer Science and a valid score in the GATE (Computer Science & Information Technology)/ UGC NET exams.

Any student without a GATE score can submit the score card of the DUET exam, followed by a personal interview. The DUET is also known as the DIT University Entrance Test. Some specializations included in the M. Tech program are

DIT University MCA Admission

Candidates seeking admission to the DIT University’s MCA program shall obtain a Bachelor’s degree in BCA/ B. Sc (Information Technology & Computer Science )/ B. Tech (CS & IT). Furthermore, admission will be made based on the merit percentage from these qualifying exams. However, those eligible students who have taken the UPSEE exam will be given preference during the application process.

DIT University MBA Admission

DIT University offers admission to the full-time 2-year MBA program based on the scores obtained in the CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ UPCET/ DUET exams. A personal interview and a group discussion will follow the initial screening process. It is mandatory to have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream. Suppose students who have not attempted any of the national-level aptitude tests are mandated to take up the DIT University MBA Entrance Exam (DUET)

Eligible candidates with professional work experience at the time of application will be given preference. However, there is no provision for a part-time MBA, an executive MBA, or an MBA with dual specialization.

About DUET: DUET, also known as DIT University Entrance Test, is conducted annually to shortlist the students for various PG programs. It is a 1-hour exam consisting of MCQs based on the syllabus of the stream chosen by the applicant. It will be conducted via CBT mode, and only those students who have participated in the DIT University application process will be allowed to take the DUET exam. The registration fees will be non-refundable, and the applicant cannot change the exam slots.

DIT University PG Admission

DIT University provides admission to other PG programs such as  M. Pharma, M. Sc, and MA. In addition, students who have passed their B Pharm degree with a minimum aggregate score can apply for admission to DIT University M Pharm.

Interested candidates shall submit the DIT University application form before the last date, as late applications will be accepted with a monetary fine. The course disciplines, entrance exams required for admission, and other important details are mentioned below. All these PG programs are full-time and 2 years long.

DIT University Application Process

DIT University conducts the screening process only online. Therefore, applicants can apply by following the steps below.

1. Candidates shall visit the university’s official website and click the “Apply Now” button. Afterward, register yourself on the website using your contact details.
2. Then, you will be redirected to the admission portal, wherein you can download the DIT University admission form.
3. After downloading the application form, fill out all the sections with the required academic and professional details. Ensure all the details are filled in correctly, as the university will not provide any correction window.
4. Also, attach the self-attested scanned copies of the important documents like Aadhar cards, Mark sheets, score cards, certificates, etc.
5. Lastly, pay the requisite DIT University application fee of Rs. 1250 through any online payment pathway, such as Net Banking or UPI. This application fee will be non-refundable.
6. Finally, you can submit the complete application form and keep a copy with yourself for future reference.
