Kumaun University

Kumaun University is a state university established in 1973 by the Uttarakhand Government. The University has three campuses in Almora, Nainital, and Bhimtal. The University has been recognized by UGC and is accredited by NAAC with an "A" Grade. In addition, the University was ranked 53 in the universities category by The Week in 2020. More than 65 colleges are affiliated with Kumaun University. It specializes in upholding its motto of high-quality research and excellent teaching. 

Both teaching and research activities support the Kumaun University Syllabus and contribute to students' learning habits on the affiliated campuses. The University's Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Education, Technology, Visual Art, Law, and Agriculture departments offer diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and certificate programs. In addition to full-time courses, Kumaun University distance courses are provided for students who wish to pursue a degree without being physically present on campus.

To advance academic and technological research & development, this University has established a brand-new centre for nanoscience and nanotechnology. Kumaun University Course Admission 

On an annual basis, the notification regarding admission to the various UG, PG, and PhD courses will be released by Kumaun University on its official website. In addition, the University will make the admissions application available on its official website so that everyone who wants to apply can easily access it. For each course, Kumaun University has established distinct eligibility requirements.

• However, passing the 10+2 exam with at least 50% of the marks from a reputable board of education is essential for admission to Kumaun University UG Courses.
• Postgraduate programs at Kumaun University are awarded based on a merit list and entrance exams. The qualifying test results are considered when considering applicants for admission to the PG programs.
• MBA candidates must have passed the CAT/MAT exam and a graduate-level course from a university or college accredited by the UGC.

Kumaun University Application Process

The Kumaun University official website allows prospective students to apply for admission by registering online and submitting the required application form and fee.

• Navigate to the Kumaun University Admission section on the University's official website.
• To access the Kumaun University online application, click on the provided link on the website.
• The candidate must click on the desired program in a new Online Admission portal through Kumaun University Student Login that will open.
• Candidates must deposit the fees by clicking the "PAY FEES" tab before submitting an online application.
• Candidates will be redirected to a brand-new website to generate a challan or pay online.
• During the payment, enter the information requested by the bank, which will be added to the university record. The bank will issue candidates with a 10-digit Character Transaction Number.
• Before beginning the online application, provide your bank's date of birth and transaction number.
• Within 24 hours, the University will receive payment for fees; when you apply, the database will verify the payment and allow you to proceed.
• Complete the form carefully and upload the JPEG file of the scanned photograph and signature.
• The system will generate a Registration Number and Password for the candidate after they fill out the form, which will be sent to them via SMS and email.

Kumaun University Placement 

A cell for placement and career counselling is located at the University. It helps students in their final year find jobs. The Kumaun University  Average Package for MBA were INR 2.5 LPA. Maintaining a 65%  or higher score on the qualifying bachelor's degree examination is the minimum requirement for meeting the placement criteria. Students are eligible for placements after the final semester.
