In 2008, Chettinad Academy of Research & Education (CARE) received the designation of "Deemed to be University" underneath Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. Being an institute for higher study and research in medicine, allied health sciences, and nursing, the university has substantially contributed to society. The university's slogan, "Capability, Character, and Commitment," is reflected in the academic programmes provided, which are innovative, professional, and job-oriented.

The 74 academic courses offered by Chettinad University are in medicine, nursing, allied health sciences (AHS), pharmacy, physiotherapy, architecture, commerce, and law. The majority of the programmes are multidisciplinary and meet current demands. CARE Chettinad has more than 2500 students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. Chettinad University Courses

CARE offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate courses in the faculties of medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, and allied health sciences (AHS), as well as architecture, commerce, and law. Chettinad University Course Admission

The admissions process at Chettinad University is based on Merit and valid scores from entrance exams such as CEAT, NEET, NATA, CLAT and LSAT.

• For admission to the BSc, a qualifying examination score of at least 45% overall in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology has been taken from a recognized board. Merit in academic performance is the basis of selection.
• Students seeking admission to the B Arch must have passed 10+2 in the science stream with 55% and shall have studied Mathematics as the main subject. Candidates are chosen for selection based on the entrance exam NATA/JEE.
• For Chettinad University MBBS Admission, 10+2 pass out from the recognized board of education. In addition, passing grades in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are required. NEET scores are used to determine admission.
• For Law Courses, The entrance exam CLAT is the basis of selection. A passing grade in the 10+2 test from an accredited board with a minimum of 45% OR An undergraduate law degree with at least 50% of the possible points
• For other courses, candidates are required to appear for CEAT, administrated by the university.
