Thanjavur Medical College

Thanjavur Medical College is said to be the prominent colleges for medical studies in the state of Tamil Nadu. This institute is located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu and is the oldest college among the all the medical colleges of Tamil Nadu. It is promoted and supported by the Tamil Nadu Government via TN Directorate of Medical education.

• The foundation of this medical College was laid in the year 1958. Initially there was intake of 75 boys as well as 25 girls to the under graduate course. There are also post-graduation courses in all the departments.
• The hospital named Thanjavur Medical College Hospital and Govt. Raja Mirasudar Hospital is linked and affiliated to the college. These two hospitals are the famous and top notch once in the Thanjvur district.
