SBMCH in Chennai offers an MBBS program at UG level. Doctor aspirants must choose this professional degree. It is a 5.5-year course with  1 year of compulsory internship. Students must have the qualifying exam and entrance exam scores to be eligible for admission to this college. 

SBMCH Chennai MBBS eligibility criteria

Bachelor's of Operational Therapy

SBMCH offers BOT for the total duration of 4.5 years, inclusive of internship. Admissions are based on merit. The minimum requirement is that the Candidates must have passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology having 50% marks, and the minimum age is  17. Selection will be based on merit and will be in the form of counselling. 

MD/ MS Admissions

SBMCH also offers MD and MS degrees at the PG level. Each of these courses is available in multiple specialisations. For SBMCH Chennai PG medical courses, admission applicants must have completed their MBBS degree with internship and be certified by a recognised University. Sree Balaji Medical College offers UG & PG courses in medical studies. For admission into UG medical courses minimum eligibility is that candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board plus candidate must completed the age of 17 on or before December 31, 2020. Selection for admission is made on the basis of score in NEET entrance examination and hence it is mandatory that student must appear for NEET entrance exam and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in order to get shortlisted for admission. NEET application form can be filled online through the official website.

For MBBS admissions, students must have passed 10+2 with NEET scores. Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital NEET cut-off for the MBBS program is 1218682. 


Should I write any test to qualify for a B.Sc. Nursing program at SBMCH?

The only eligibility requirement for the B.Sc. The nursing program is to have passed the 10+2 board exams in the science stream with a minimum of 50% marks.

The MBBS program at Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital includes a one-year mandatory internship. Students who received at least 50% in their 10+2 with PCB are eligible to apply. For admission to the MBBS at SBMCH, a valid NEET-UG score is necessary, followed by counseling. NEET cut-off for MBBS is 134852 - 550887.
