Tezpur University was started in 1994 as a Central University in North-Eastern Assam called Tezpur. This University is not affiliated but is supported by Central University. Tezpur University offers various UG, PG, Certificate programs, PhD, and Diploma inclusive of respective specializations. The academic courses offer degrees in fields like Commerce, Science, Humanities, and Technology. Admissions to Tezpur University for any courses are possible depending on entrance exam scores conducted by the University. • The application form fee for general candidates is INR 700, and for reserved candidates, it is INR 350.

Tezpur University Admission for B-Tech

Applicants of B-Tech in Tezpur University must score considerable marks in the JEE Main exam. This University offers up to seven specializations in B-Tech. Of the seats, 60% are reserved for students hailing from Assam or Tezpur, and 40% are allotted for AIR candidates according to the counselling process.

Admission for MBA & MCA

The PG Management admission in Tezpur University must obtain CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CAMT scores and UG aggregate CGPA.

For M-Tech & MCA admission in Tezpur University, admissions are based on GATE scores as a qualifying exam for university entrance.

After clearing the counselling process, the seat allocation is 60% for Assam state candidates and 40% for AIR candidates.

M. Sc., MA, MTTM, M.Com course admissions with various specializations complimenting their UG degree in the relevant discipline. This University also offers integrated M.Sc /MA and other PG diploma courses with specializations.

The only selection criteria are that the students must qualify in TUET to get admission to the University. Seat allocation is done after verifying the availability of seats and documents.

Note: The M.Sc program in TU in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology will allot seats based on the Tezpur University entrance exam or with the combined scores of the JNU entrance exam.

Admissions for Ph.D.

The Ph. D. course at Tezpur University is offered in the School of Engineering, Management, Humanities & Social Sciences, etc. The applicants should compulsorily have a PG degree in the required subject specialization. The admissions are allotted as part-time, full-time, or fellowship, depending on the project of the fellow candidate. The percentage of seat allocation in the University is divided into 15%, 7.5% & 27% of the total seats for SC/ST and OBC candidates under the reserved category.
