Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women was started in 1998 in New Delhi and became the first technical women's university in India. It is dedicated to imparting quality education to women. The university's programs are under the University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers UG and PG-level courses in various domains. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University is affiliated with AICTE. The University also received 145th rank by NIRF.

  • For M. Tech, candidates must appear in the GATE entrance exam. For MCA, candidates must appear in the NIMCET entrance exam, as the final selection is based on a student's score in these entrance examinations.
  • Admission into Ph. D courses at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University is based on the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) candidate score followed by an interview. Candidates who have cleared CSIR-NET/ UGC-NET/ GATE or any other equivalent exam are exempted from RAT.
  • For admission into any program at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University, candidates can fill out the application form online through the college's official website. The application fee can also be paid online through debit/ credit card or net banking.

Course I completed from this university for B.Tech in Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University. This is an exclusive college for women and seriously we do get many benefits while we are studying in this college. This university accepts JEE Mains exam and in case if we have to get admission in Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women we will have to have JEE rank compulsorily or else there is no way to get admission without having JEE Main rank. The counselling process will actually be conducted based on students rank in JEE Main. This university is state university so the JEE Main rank for getting Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women admission.

Can I get direct admission for B Tech computer science

There is no provision for Direct admission at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University. It is a State University. IGDTUW will offer B Tech admission based on JEE Main Score. Whereas seat allocation takes place through JAC Counselling.

What is the %ile req for btechcse ? tell me the criteria

For B.Tech program, the eligibility required is 60% marks in 10+2 in the Science stream and the selection of the candidate will be done through JEE Main entrance exam. JEE Main cut-off for B.Tech computer science and engineering is 0-28209 for home state and 0-5269 for other state students.

I want admission in this clg.. So how much rank is to be needed... In jee mains... For B. Tech..

JEE Mains cut-off ranges between 0-58212 for the home state students and candidates within the score can apply and seek Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women admissions for B.Tech.

Have scored 93.836 percentile in JEE Mains.Can I get direct admission in IGDTUW ?

Hi Divya Sharma,

B.Tech course selection process or the admission in Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women is strictly based on JEE main marks, along with Joint admission counselling process. Mandatory 60% must be maintained in 12th class. JAC counselling registration fee is INR 1400.

Dear Sir, Is there any management quota for direct admission for B Tech ( CSE/ ECE) as low JEE rank.

Hi, The institute falls under govt. sector and there is no management quota or direct admission to the institute for any course.

Hi, The admissions to the institute is strictly based on the entrance test and the merit in qualifying exam. Direct admissions to the college are not possible and candidates must have minimum eligibility to take admissions to the institute.

  • The total fee cost is around INR 3.00 lakh , duration of 4years.
  • B.Tech admission is subject to a valid score in JEE Main followed by Joint Admission counselling (JAC).

To seek admission in B.Tech

  • Candidates should complete their intermediate in science stream with 50% aggregate from a recognized board. 
  • Along with 10+2 candidates should attain a valid score in JEE Mains entrance test
  • Candidates meeting the above mentioned criteria can apply online/offline

Admission for B.Tech:

  • Admission is based on the counseling of the score obtained in previous examination. 
  • Students should obtain minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2 from a recognized board
  • Students should have a valid score in entrance exams like JEE Mains
  • Interested students can apply through online/offline mode for admission

Admission for B.Tech

  • Student willing to join the institute should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+2 along with a valid score in entrance examination. 
  • Admission for B.Tech will be made, considering the student’s marks in entrance examination along with score in graduation. 
  • Students, if not given entrance exam can even opt for admission through management quota for which the fee will be slightly higher.
