Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, is one of the Public engineering Institutes that began in 1961 to offer high-quality education. The Institute, also known as National Importance Institute, offers B.Tech at UG and M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc., and M.Des at the PG level, and Ph.D. at the research level with specializations in each program. The Institute also offers part-time programs in Ph.D. and M.Tech.

  • JEE Main, followed by JEE Advance score, is considered for B.Tech program admission.
  • Students must have a JAM score for M.Sc. admissions.
  • For Admission to the MBA program, a valid score in the CAT exam is required.
  • M.Des Admission is based on a CEED score, whereas M.Tech Admission will be based on a GATE score.

IIT Delhi B.Tech Admissions:

The IITD offers the B.Tech program with twelve specializations for a four-year duration. The students applying for the B.Tech program should hold 10+2 or equivalent with 75% marks or be in the Top 20 Percentile in the respective qualifying exam. The Admission B.Tech program's selection process depends on the score obtained in JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced exam. The Institute has seat relaxation for SC category students with 15%, ST category students with 7.5%, and Persons with Disability with 3% in all specializations.

The Institute has offered an M.Tech program with 38 specializations or two-year duration. The students will be delivered direct Admission to M.Tech if they have 75% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. along with a valid score on the GATE exam or through a written test and interview by the Institute for students with 60% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. with GATE score.

The M.Tech program's Application Form can be filled online and sent with a payment of INR 360 through DD and the application form to the Institute.

IIT Delhi M.Des Admissions:

The Institute has offered an M.Des program with one specialization for two years. The students will be delivered direct Admission to M.Des if they have 75% marks in qualifying and a valid score in the CEED exam or through a written test and interview by the Institute for students with 60% marks in B.Tech or B.Arch with GATE score.

Key Points:

  • Reserved category students will be given 5% relaxation in the qualifying exam.
  • Students who passed the qualifying exam with 8 CGPA from any IIT need not have GAT or CEED scores.

IIT Delhi M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute has been offering an M.Sc. program, M.Sc. Dual Degree and also M.Sc. An integrated program with several specializations for the students. The students must have basic eligibility for Bachelor's Degree with 55% marks in the applicable discipline and a valid score on the JAM exam.

The M.Sc. application form can be filled online by paying INR 600/-

Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) program is offered by the Institute with two specializations for the students with a bachelor's Degree in the applicable stream with minimum marks. The students will be selected for admissions based on merit in the qualifying exam.

IIT Delhi MS by Research Admissions:

The Institute, with nine specializations, offers MS by Research. The students will be called up for applications from March every year. The students applying through direct mode must have basic eligibility of 75% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. and a GATE score of more than 300. Admissions will also be provided for the students who appear for a written test and an interview round conducted by the Institute for the students who have passed B.Tech or M.Sc. with 60% marks and a GATE score of more than 300.
