TNEA Counselling Process 2024

The counseling process will be conducted online in four rounds, each consisting of four stages, as outlined below. Students will participate in counseling sessions based on their rank.

Choice Filling:

Students will have three days to select their preferred colleges and branches based on their preferences. Choices must be ranked in order of preference.

Allotment:

Seats will be allocated based on factors such as rank, community, and seat availability.

Confirmation of Allotment:

Students must confirm their allotted seats within two days. Failure to confirm the seat allotment may result in losing the seat. Upon allotment, students will have the following options:

Accept and Join:

Students who accept the allotted seat must download the provisional allotment order and report to their respective colleges before the specified date to complete the admission process. Failure to report will result in the allotment being canceled.

Accept and Move Up:

Students who wish to move to a higher preference will receive a tentative allotment. They must confirm their previous allotment and report to a nearby TFC to pay the required fees for the higher allotment.

Decline and Move Up:

Students who are unsatisfied with the allotment but seeking a higher preference will move to the next round.

Decline and Move to the Next Round:

Students who are not satisfied with the allotment and are unwilling to wait for a higher preference can choose this option.

Decline and Withdraw:

Students who have not received their desired seat can choose to withdraw from all rounds.

Move Up or Move to the Next Round:

Students not allotted a seat will be presented with this option. If seats are available, they will be allocated; otherwise, they will move to the next round.
