JEE Main Exam Pattern 2024; Know Marking Scheme, Number of Attempts, Total Marks

The JEE Main 2024 exam pattern was made available online by NTA. In order to find out the exam format, candidates must visit the NTA JEE Main official website. The subjects, total marks, test duration, marking system, and other information will all be included in the exam pattern. The exam pattern 2024 states that there would be 90 questions.

There will be a 30Q in the exam for physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects. There will be 10 questions with numerical value answers and 20 multiple-choice questions. The JEE Mains exam has a total score of 300. Paper 1 & Paper 2 of the exam follow different patterns. However, for both sessions, the identical exam format will be used. To succeed in the exam, candidates studying for it need to be aware of the Pattern and JEE Main 2024 Syllabus as well.

JEE Main Type of Questions

Every subject will have two portions to the IIT JEE exam structure. There will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in Section A and questions in Section B that require a numerical response to be entered. Candidates must try any five of the 10 QS in Section B. Both Sections A and B will receive negative grades. In Section B, each question requires the applicant to utilize the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad to input the right integer value of the response. The response for Section B needs to be rounded to the closest whole number.

JEE Main Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates must bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers, coloured pencils, or crayons when they appear for the JEE Main Paper 2.
  • Five minutes before the start of the test, candidates will get instructions to open the Test Booklet's seal. They have to verify that the code from the test booklet printed on Side 2 of the answer sheet matches the code from the test booklet.
  • In order to hold the exam paper smoothly for writing, candidates may bring a blank cardboard or clipboard inside the exam room.
  • It is not recommended for candidates to bring ball pens to the exam room. It will be available in the examination room.
  • Rough sheets for the calculations and other rough tasks will be given to candidates. Before leaving the examination room, these sheets must be given back to the invigilator.
