Utkal University is a public university in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, India. It was established in 1943 and is one of the oldest & largest universities in the state. It is the first university in the State of Odisha and is the 17th oldest University in India. The university is named after the ancient kingdom of Utkala, which was located in present-day Odisha.

University offers UG, PG and doctoral programs in numerous arenas, such as arts, science, commerce, management, law, and technology. Utkal University Courses Admission

The university offers various courses in postgraduate, Doctorate and undergraduate disciplines. The university also offers integrated programs. Therefore, each course had different eligibility criteria and selection criteria.

Utkal University UG Admission

• For admission to the Utkal University UG Courses and integrated degrees, candidates shall have passed 10+2 with at least 45% marks in the concerned stream.
• Students applying for B Pharm have to appear for OJEE. Seat allotment will take place through counselling.
• For the remaining UG courses, students must take the Utkal University Entrance Exam.
• Students applying for Utkal University B.Ed Admission shall have completed either a UG or PG Degree with a min of 55%. University-based entrance test determines admission.

Utkal University PG Admission

• The candidates must have a bachelor's degree as the minimum eligibility requirement for Utkal University PG Courses. The candidates are selected based on performance in the entrance examination and marks in the last qualifying examination.
• After the entrance examination, the university counsels those who perform well on the test. In some cases, an analysis of previous academic performance and a personal interview is also conducted before the final admission.
• MBA from Utkal University is available in General, Agri-Business, and Financial Management. These are the sponsored courses.
• Candidates willing to apply for Agri-Business can apply based on CAT or MAT scores. For other disciplines, students need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university.
• Students who have completed their BCA or equivalent can apply for Utkal University MCA. However, they are mandated to appear for an entrance test.
