UPES School of Planning and Architecture was founded in 2003 and is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. UPES School was bought into existence to be an institution of a global standard for developing professionally skilled talent contributing to nation-building, setting industry-focused professionals with an international outlook, and creating a global knowledge eco-system through research & development and consultancy. UPES School of Planning and Architecture was approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with NAAC. The institution also received NAAC accreditation of A Grade.

  • UPES runs various departments within, like School of Engineering; School of Computer Science, School of Law, Design, Business, Health Sciences, Modern Media, School of Smart Agriculture. The institution also has distance learning & doctoral programs.
  • UPES School of Planning and Architecture offers undergraduate & postgraduate courses in Design and Animation under numerous specializations.
  • The fee structure of all the courses is quite feasible and can be paid in installments per annum; the fee includes tuition fee, registration fee, and examination fee.
  • The total fee structure of the Bachelor of Design (B. Des) course is around INR 16.05 Lakhs under the general category. For NRI candidates, the full fee will be INR 20.5 Lakhs.
  • The total fee structure of the Master of Design (M. Des) course is around INR 10.81 Lakhs under the general category. For NRI candidates, the full fee will be around INR 13.62 Lakhs.
  • The basic eligibility mandatory for admission into UG courses is that candidate must have pass 10+2 with 50% aggregate marks in the respective discipline from a recognized board of education and must have completed a graduation degree for admission into the PG program.
  • For admission in PG courses, it is also mandatory that the candidate must appear for the UPES-DAT entrance examination and must secure a valid score as per the cut-off marks to get shortlisted for admission.
  • UPES institution offers various scholarship facilities to encourage deserving students to achieve greater heights of success. The scholarships are mostly provided based on merit and rank in the entrance examination.

Placements

  • The placement cell in the college is a very robust and successful career service program. They always try that every college student will be placed in the leading companies in the particular industry.
  • The internship facility is given to the students for the sake of the students. If they have experience in the working environment of any company, then the student will be able to co-operate in the corporate world.

  • The college has a well-structured infrastructure. The college has facilities like an auditorium, gym, theater, cafeteria, general store, and playground. The classes are very spacious, and the ventilation of the classrooms is also good.
  • There is an accommodation facility for the students; the hostels are for both girls and boys. They provide all the facilities in the hostel like recreational, storage, and sports playing place for the students. They provide food in a mess that is also good and hygienic.

Most of the colleges, including UPES School of Planning and Architecture, will generally consider students for a B Arch degree program, only if they have completed 12th grade with compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Since you are from a commerce background (without PCM subjects), you would not be eligible for B.Arch.

What will be the selection criteria for the B.Arch program at UPES SPA?

If you’re planning for a B.Arch program at UPES College, applicants must have passed board exams followed by NATA scores.
