Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology is one of the premier technological institutes in the region. It was formerly known as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), which was established in 1960. However, in 2002, it became a deemed university and was converted into a National Institute of Technology. It offers a large number of programs and is very popular for the B Tech degree.
