Shiv Shankar Institute of Engineering & Technology

Shiv Shankar Institute of Engineering and Technology (SSIET) was started in 2004 by the SBS society offering B.Tech courses with various specializations. The institute is affiliated with Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and Punjab Government.

• The institute has a library with a seating arrangement for 150 students with eight newspapers, 13 magazines, 661 e-journal, 50 national and international journals, and 130000 reference books.
• The classrooms are well equipped with projectors, audio and visual aids, and the right seating arrangement.
• Hostel facilities are present for both boys and girls with air-conditioned rooms with seven hostels for men and four hostels for women with an affordable INR 40k per semester.

Nearly ten buses are present on the campus to transport students and staff to places like Tarn Taran, Amritsar, and other towns. The institute conducts various extra-curricular activities like Workshop National Vocational Education, Techno-E-Craft workshop, Guest lecture by GNE faculty, and Workshop by IBRI. The institute is located at Patti and is about 40 km from Beas, 60km from Moga, and 45km from Amritsar, easily accessible by the staff and students.
