Dr. K.V. Subba Reddy Institute of Technology is promoted by Vaibhav Educational Society, Allagadda, Kurnool District. Vaibhav Educational Society was established in 2005 with chief objective of establishing Quality Educational Institutions in the backward Rayalaseema Region.

The society has been making honest attempts in that direction by establishing Engineering, Pharmacy and Teacher Education Colleges in one big Campus giving the shape of a University. Someday, the campus would definitely become a Deemed to be University.

Subba Reddy Institute of Technology is the  game plan  of Dr.K.V.Subba Reddy garu, an eminent educationalist, a great academician, a scholar with great vision, a philanthropist, and a legend in the field of establishing and running educational institutions. His love for his erstwhile native district of Kurnool and service motto manifested themselves in the form of this Institution.
• The former capital of the quondam Andhra State is deprived of development mainly due to lack of Quality Professional Educational Institutions.
