Desh Bhagat University School of Law was started in the year 1996 as the constituent departments of Desh Bhagat University. This university is recognized and approved by Bar Council of India and has planned to inculcate the all the growing streams of Legal studies with a comprehensive approach. This School of Law is very famous and has been very distinctive in law and legal education.  Desh Bhagat University is a private university which has great reputation in the state of Punjab.

  • On the UG level, this school of law offered BA-LLB as four years integrated programs offered at fulltime mode. At postgraduate level, there are two courses namely LLB and LLM. There is multidisciplinary arrangement in the structure of BA-LLB course which equips students with perfect blend of Arts and law studies.
  • The three courses BA-LLB, LLB and LLM have employed several professional methods in order to drench the proficiency of both scholastically and socially in to the students.
  • BA-LLB course is four years program offered in Honours and eligibility is 10+2 passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate. LLB is a three years course which requires minimum qualification of graduation degree passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
  • LLM- Master of Law is post graduation level program for which the basic eligibility will be clearing LLB with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Desh Bhagat University School of Law admissions for these three courses are purely based on the marks obtained by candidates in qualifying examination. In order to apply for these courses, applicants must fill the application form given on the website and register for the course as well.
  • Desh Bhagat University hostel facility has been fabulous offering accommodation to students on 1st come 1st serve basis. These hostels have state of the art infrastructure and facilities with an extended environment with numerous opportunities for individual growth and incorporating culture of shared living.
  • There are both AC and Non-AC rooms provided for students and each room has R/O purifier and other necessary facilities at room.

Placement-

  • The students are provided training for improving their employability and communication skills to get hired in good firms.
  • The placement cell of the School is efficient in providing training to the students and helps them to get placement opportunities in companies.
  • The students are made aware of the job requirements in the companies and guide them to do industry related projects.
  • Companies like Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, IFB Industries, DUCAT India, Yellow Pages etc. visit the college every year for providing placement opportunities.  

Infrastructure-

  • The college has smart classrooms with projectors for providing audio and visual knowledge and well stocked digital libraries with access to various portals.
  • The computer labs have software up to date so that the students learn the present requirement in their field.
  • The entire campus has high speed Wi-Fi accessibility and internet facility in library and classrooms.
  • Play grounds are available for both indoor and outdoor games like cricket, basketball, football, badminton, throw ball etc. within the campus.

Hostel rooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly to maintain the hygiene of the students.

Candidates must have done LLB/ BA (LLB) with minimum 50% Marks.
Duration- 3 Years, Full Time, Post Graduate Degree

LLB :-
Eligibility-
Candidates must have done Graduation securing minimum 45% marks.
Duration- 3 Years, Full Time, Under Graduate Degree

BA LLB :-
Eligibility-
Candidates must have passed 10+2 in any stream securing minimum 45% marks.
Duration- 5 Years, Full Time, Under Graduate Degree
