Birsa Institute of Technology

Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) is a public institution established in 1949 which is managed and controlled by the Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi, and the Department of Science and Technology. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University (VBU). It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

• The institute offers various courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D., and the candidates have to clear the GATE exam for M.Tech and JCECE exam for B.Tech courses.
• Tata Auto Comp, Vedanta, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., HCL Info System, CESC Limited, TVS Motors, Genpact, Infosys, etc., are top recruiters, and the highest salary package offered is INR 25LPA, and the lowest is INR 3.5 LPA.
