Bangalore University Distance education

Bangalore University came into existence in 1964 in the IT capital of India. Under the BU constituent, they initiated the Directorate of Correspondence and Distance Education to promote higher education in 1976. UGC-DEB approves BU-DDE for its efficient functioning. It runs with affiliation to Bangalore University. It has been recognized by many of the ranking committees. According to the University ranking, in 2016, it was ranked with 151 positions by BRICS international agency. Correspondence and distance education is provided to promote higher education to help candidates grow careers.

Bangalore University Correspondence B.Com admissions

• B.Com is a graduate degree in the commerce field. 
• For distance education B.Com admissions, students must have completed their 12 board exams in commerce subject to apply for this course. 
• The course is for three years and is offered with a general specialization. 
• The Distance B.Com fees are INR 4,960 per annum.

Bangalore University Correspondence BBA Admission

• BBA is a management course offered at the UG level. 
• To get a BBA correspondence course admissions, the candidates must have completed 10+2 board exams in any stream with an average of 50%.
• Being a three-year program, BBA is offered in general management.  
• The distance BBA fees are INR 10,890 per annum. 

Bangalore University Correspondence BA admissions

• Another main UG course of the University is BA.
• BA admissions must have finished their board exams of 10+2 from a recognized board. 
• BA course is offered only in the general subject and no other specializations. 
• The Distance BA fees are INR 4,960 per annum.

Bangalore University Correspondence M.Com admissions

• M.Com is a PG course offered for two years.
• For Correspondence M.Com admissions, students must have completed their degree in B.Com or BBA with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
• The distance education M.Com fees are INR 6,230 per first-year fee.

The University placement opportunities are decent. Students must initially look for internship programs. The University will provide training on cracking aptitude, GD, and interview rounds.

After understanding the eligibility criteria, the candidates looking for admission will be based on completing the form submission after verifying the attached educational docs.

The applicants must complete the Bangalore University Distance Education application form online and offline. The form is available on the website and can be downloaded and filled in manually.  All the details must be entered without errors; the necessary docs are attached. Candidates must enter the course and its specialization while filling out the form. Lastly, they must pay the application fees and submit the form online or by DD. The fee amount ranges from 250/- to 750/-.  Once the submission is made, selection and shortlisting will proceed.  

Learning assistance at BU-DDE

The University will provide study material for the students opting for correspondence or distance learning. Once the candidates' admission is confirmed, the relevant study material for the course will be couriered to their postal address.   Each UG and PG course has individual study content on the website. They can access it through the student portal. The content will be available in English and Kannada for BA and MA courses. Students can also access E-study material on the website. They can easily download the content in PDF format and keep them for reference.

PGDM/PGDITM admissions at BU-DDE

The University offers PGDM, which is equivalent to an MBA course. Students willing to take up a distance MBA can opt for the PGDM program after graduation. MBA/PGDM admissions are based on UG scores of not less than 40%. The Distance MBA/PGDM fees are INR 8,230 in total.

Bangalore University Correspondence M.Sc. admissions

The M.Sc. course is available in General and Mathematics specialization. For Correspondence M.Sc. admissions, the applicants must have completed their B.Sc. or equivalent degrees. The M.Sc. fees are INR 7,865 per annum.

Bangalore University Correspondence MA admissions

For Correspondence MA admissions, candidates must have completed their board exams with an aggregate of 50%. The MA program is available in 9 different specializations. The course duration is for two years. The MA fees are INR 6,230 per annum.
