After I finished by 12th grade, I had appeared for the CET as well as the COMEDK. I didn’t get RV College of Engineering admission for B.tech through CET, but I got it through the COMEDK as my marks in this were too good. COMEDK cut-off ranking for the RVCE for computer science and engineering was 180.

I could get a seat in this college by securing a valid score in KCET, so my rank was 220, and I could get B. Tech in information science & engineering. So, 45% of seats are filled through KCET, and 25% of seats are reserved for the management quota, and the remaining 30% seats are for COMEDK. Firstly candidates need to appear for the entrance exam so that the KCET application form will be released in Feb, and the exam will be held in April. KCET exam fee is INR 650 for general category students. Once the results are declared, we will go through counseling process through which college will be allotted further my R.V. College of Engineering B.Tech admissions to place

I would suggest taking admission for B.tech in this college through the entrance exams like KCET or COMEDK. I took RV College of Engineering admissions by the KCET score keeping, which we will have to appear for the counseling to get access to the B.tech. I was studying B.Tech in telecommunication engineering.

For those who are from the state of Karnataka, RV College uses the KCET exam score to choose students. Selection for students from other states will be based on exams such as COMEDK and any other national entrance exam. KCET qualified students must attend KEA's KCET Counselling, whereas COMEDK qualified students must attend COMEDK Counselling. Admission for B.Tech in RV College and seats will be assigned based on the options selected and the entrance exam score.

RVCE is known for its four-year BE program, which has 12 specialities. On the basis of the KCET result, interested applicants from Karnataka are offered admission to B Tech at RVCE. Students from other states, on the other hand, are chosen based on their COMEDK score. They must also have received at least 70% in each of the subjects of Math and Science. For those who are from the state of Karnataka, the college uses the KCET exam score to choose students. Selection for students from other states will be based on exams such as COMEDK and any other national entrance exam. Applicants who have a valid rank in the above exams must attend the counselling session. KCET qualified students must attend KEA's KCET Counseling, whereas COMEDK qualified students must attend COMEDK Counseling. During the counselling process, applicants must select a college and a course. Seats will be assigned based on the options selected and the entrance exam score. The KCET cut-off for B Tech varies from 80 – 4569 for different courses depending on various criteria.

What is the admission procedure for B Tech students to take admission to R.V. College of Engineering?

Interested Karnataka applicants are provided admission to RVCE's B Tech programme based on their KCET scores. On the other hand, students from other states are chosen depending on their COMEDK score. They must also have received at least 70% in each of the science and math areas. The KCET exam result is used by the college to choose candidates from the state of Karnataka. Exams such as COMEDK and any other national entrance exam will be used to select students from other states. Applicants with a valid rank in one of the above-mentioned exams are required to attend the counselling session. Students who have passed the KCET must attend KEA's KCET Counseling, whereas those who have passed the COMEDK must attend COMEDK Counseling. Applicants must choose a college and a course throughout the counselling process. Seats will be assigned based on the alternatives selected and the results of the entrance exam.

I got 15500 rank in comedk
replied on 14-Oct-2020 13:48:03

In the first round of COMEDK counselling the cut-off for all the courses would range from 180-4158 and in the 3rd round it is 373-14065 according to previous estimation. So, candidates with 15500 rank will have to wait until the round of counselling and based on vacancy of seats and other criteria candidates will be allotted with seats and further shall proceed with R.V. College of Engineering admissions to B.Tech.

  • To seek direct admission or management quota admission for B.Tech course, candidates will have to visit the college campus and contact the admission authorities.
  • The minimum eligibility for direct admission would be completion of intermediate from a recognized board.
replied on 25-Mar-2019 05:47:53

The candidates can apply to the courses online through the official college website

  • The Admission is based on marks obtained in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) and COMEDK UGET.
  • Students looking for Management quota will get admissions from management seats which do not require any merit. So NRI can also opt for management quota seats.
  • The application fee for outside Karnataka students will INR 750

The fee structure of NRI quota in RV College of Engineering is basically of three types, they are:

  • Donation fee - 25 lakhs on Demand Draft.
  • Registration free- 3 Lakhs handed over in cash
  • Annual fee- 2 lakhs.

So total fee for complete engineering would be 35 Lakhs.

How can I get into RV ... Is there any entrance test ?
