Northern India Engineering College is the former name of Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management. Institute was founded in 2003. The courses offered are BBA, B.Tech at UG level, and MBA at PG level. These courses are affiliated with GGSIPU. They develop a dynamic and vibrant force of technocrats with managerial skills capable of discovering and developing innovative solutions to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. They also maintain an active partnership program with industry and other academic institutions to assist intellectual interchange and resource sharing.

• For a period of four years, B.Tech. Is offered in eight different specializations. BBA is available for three years. The institute also provides Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders under the discipline of B.Tech.
• ADGITM Eligibility for B.Tech is candidates qualified 10+2 with a minimum 55% aggregate.
• The CET will be used to determine admission to B.Tech in Northern India Engineering College. The selection process would be based on CET merit/rank, followed by an online counseling round. Cut-off of ADGITM will be considered for offering seats to the course.
• The institute conducts IPU-CET for candidates seeking admission to BBA or B.Tech seats.
• Admission will be granted based on the candidates' performance in the entrance exam.
• Any recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required for eligibility to PG Courses. Through the national level entrance exam or based on IPU-CET score, candidates will be selected.
• Candidates seeking admission to any of the courses must apply for IPU CET through the university's official website. ADGITM application forms can be found online.
