National Institute of Technology Srinagar Admission

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar (NITSRI) is a Government Institute that was started in 1960 as Regional Engineering College. The Institute is under the control of MHRD and received NITSRI name in the year 2007. NITSRI has been declared as Institute of National Importance. Programs offered by the Institute are B.Tech, M.Sc., and M.Tech, with specializations in each. The Admission process in the Institute is carried through National Level Entrance exams.

• JEE Main Exam for B.Tech program Admissions.
• DASA for NRI students through SAT for B.Tech Program.
• GATE exam along with CCMT counseling for M.Tech Program Admissions.
• JAM exam for M.Sc. Admissions.

NITSRI Important Dates:

NITSRI B.Tech Admissions:

The B.Tech program is having eight specializations made available for the students by the Institute. The basic eligibility required for admissions is 12th or equivalent with PCM subjects with 75% marks or in the Top 20 Percentile in the respective boards. The students will be selected for B.Tech admissions based on JEE Main exam, followed by counseling held by the Institute.

NITSRI B.Tech Cut Off:

NITSRI M.Tech Admissions:

The Institute is offering three specializations in the M.Tech program for two years of duration. The students must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or MCA or equivalent or AMIE with 60% marks from a recognized university. The selection process in the Institute will be purely based on the merit of the GATE exam.

NITSRI M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute has been offering one specialization under the M.Sc. program for two years of duration. The students with basic eligibility of Bachelor’s degree in Physics or MCA or equivalent in applicable discipline with 60% marks from well-recognized university can apply for the program. The students will be selected for admissions based on the JAM exam score conducted by IIT.

NITSRI Application Process:

• NITSRI application form has to be downloaded from the Institute’s official website.
• Application Fee to be paid through NEFT transfer.
• If applying for more than one program, separate application form with DD of INR 400/- to be paid.
